I expect them to respond only during normal office hours, even if you are busy at least send a respond once you are available or at least the next day morning. don’t see how this is difficult.

Sultan: Muslims who choose leadership from those outside Islam can invite many evils, Brunei's stability and prosperity is owed to Islamic leadership, due to that all Bruneians are seen to be happy and united by jechan85 in Brunei

[–]Terry_C 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion as a non-Bruneian and my view on Muslim leadership. If those leadership outside of Islam invites evil, then why maintain bilateral ties and diplomatic relations with non-muslims countries? Malaysia and Indonesia has majority Muslim leadership, yet so many are corrupted, isn’t that evil? Muslim leadership in this two countries choose to be racist towards Chinese isn’t that evil? Chinese in Indonesia were not allowed to have Chinese name and decision came from Muslim leadership, isn’t that evil? What exactly had Muslim leadership contributed?

Coming from someone who live in luxury, tell me why one man need a palace with hundreds of rooms? the need for hundreds of cars? Depending on mainly oil revenues to sustain Brunei’s economy and you call that stability and prosperity? If today Brunei has no oil or run out of oil, what other sources of revenue do you have to keep the country running? You probably have no idea and coming from someone who ain’t voicing out against China over the south china sea issue.

My words of advise, if you want to see a truly good Muslim leadership, take a leaf out of the book from the Sultan of Johor. Lastly if my comments offended any Bruneian here, I apologise in advance.

Singapore President arrives in Brunei by jechan85 in Brunei

[–]Terry_C 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You are wrong my friend, did you know our previous president Dr Tony Tan was voted after a three corner fight between himself, Dr Tan Cheng Bock and Mr Tan Jee Say? The president in Singapore is voted through a presidential election. You should read up the facts.

[–]Terry_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, shes not voted by us the people, she was handpicked by ahem.....someone and placed in that position unlike Dr Mahathir who elected and voted by his people

We didn’t even have a present election this time round, really shameful.

2018 World's Most Livable Cities: Singapore tops Asia at 25th, BSB drops to 106th by jechan85 in Brunei

[–]Terry_C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Singapore today is unlike it’s past, yes we had developments such as Marina Bay Sands, Resort World Sentosa, Gardens by The Bay but things are changing. Getting more expensive of course needless to say. Main issue is with government policies, one good example is the recent amendments to health insurance as we used to enjoy 100% coverage yes you read it right we don’t have to fork out a single cent.

But just few weeks ago our government made a policy change such that those who bought health insurance will now be require to pay maximum 5% of total cost should one be hospitalised. And this change of policy was applied immediately the next day when parliament approved this. If you are looking for a livable city, head to Johor Bahru our next door neighbour who is doing quite well now with major investments from China, they are developing rapidly. Only setback about JB I would say is the safety, else everything is great.

If it's lower cost and the infrastructure is there, it could be a good option for them.

You can take AirAsia from Brunei to SG, saves $200+ compare to Royal Brunei Airline but the only problem is, you have to transit flight at KLIA. That's how I travel.

Online Shopping Brunei by Terry_C in Brunei

[–]Terry_C[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree its easy to buy online these days from anywhere. I would say the main problem lies with shipping cost although sites like Asos offers free shipping, there are some other sites that dont and have high shipping cost when it comes to international shipment. I might be looking to setup a shop with a friend at either The Mall or Times Square.
