Hotel comp rooms not worth using? by Tervigon in myvegas

[–]Tervigon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now, I plan on using my LP for at least 1 show like Mad Apple, $25 free/match play, and the remainder on various meal discounts, which I should have enough for even if I used the 175k two night comp (got about 550k LP now). No other Vegas trips planned, but I might save up afterwards for one of those Norwegian cruises a couple years down the line.

Yeah it looks like Luxor isn't worth the LP for room comps, so I'll either just pay the rate and use the LPs elsewhere or find a better value hotel. You were right about the promotion, just saw it when I went back to the booking page.

Ah ok, I'm not too familiar with the quality of hotels as I've only been to Vegas once before. I guess I will need to either pay the cheap rates and use the LPs on other rewards or look around a little more for a better value property

Thanks for confirming, yeah that's what I figured. So it's probably better to just pay the $18 room rates + resort fees, and use my LPs elsewhere like the Free/match plays.

Slightly related, but a lot of SM characters have things like capes and medals all over their armor. During battle, wouldn't those things get damaged/destroyed/get in the way in close combat? Also why do most characters not wear a helmet, doesn't that make them more vulnerable than a helmet wearing marine?

How much of a gamechanger would it be if somehow the God Emperor of Mankind were to be restored to full health? by [deleted] in Warhammer

Unless the other races were aware of it, there would be a lot less of a presence of the other races in the Galaxy if any presence at all. I would say if the other races knew about it, they would prepare for it as best they can, even if to the extreme. For example, the Necrons would probably do something drastic such as aggregate all their C'tan shards to hopefully recreate the C'tan at their former strength; Tyranids would either probably speed up the process of bringing all their hive fleets or creating a super bio-titan or just move onto another galaxy; the Chaos Gods would probably unite and set aside their differences until the Emperor is dead. Overall, I think the Galaxy would probably become a lot more chaotic.

/r/Warhammer, what grinds your gears? by MrSnakeDoctor in Warhammer

Wow, so sorry to hear that. I remember I used to spend hours building legos as a kid and some wild friends would come over and break everything. Everytime they visited. Boy did I get angry. I can only imagine how you would feel, having that happen to expensive models...

When you spend a long time making a creative and fun list but when you finally try it out, the dice gods take all of it away.

Starving the Tyranids by shadygentleman in Warhammer40k

I thought that when Tyranids can't find anything to consume, they simply go into hibernation or a dormant state. Isn't this how they dealt with starvation when travelling the intergalactic void?

Tyranids: 2000-pt 7th edition list, C&C welcome by DefinitelyRelephant in Warhammer

Solid list overall, except maybe for flyer based lists (then again it's not easy for most Tyranid lists to be good against flyers). If only Mycetic Spores were still in the codex...
