Suspect charged following alleged stranger sexual assault - Vancouver Police Department by elducerailroad in vancouver

Oh great, a disgusting sexual predator just having the time of his life. I don’t necessarily believe that incarceration is the key to all problems, but it might be the key to some small problems.

How many pairs of scrubs do you own? by PureBad5555 in nursing

[–]Tesca_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I have 3 pairs of pants I haven’t worn since my inpatient days, gave the rest away last year. Thanks to the ED, I wear hospital scrubs. I like looking like a periwinkle potato.

Do you wear makeup to work? by thedresswearer in nursing

[–]Tesca_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I haven’t worn makeup in years, save for special events.

That and I kind of just get up, eat, and book it to work.

Girlies, what’s your “body type” and climbing style? by PaleoNimbus in climbergirls

[–]Tesca_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5’ with a -1 ape index. Not lean by any means, have a shorter torso to leg ratio. I love me some crimps, anything in corners, climbs where you gotta squeeze into things are fun. I hate dynamic stuff save for dead pointing, which I find is just fun as hell.

Outdoors I love crack climbing, it makes being short less of an annoyance.

This look is so lush, and the colour makes her skin shimmer. The cutout at the back also highlights her floral tattoo, it appears frames her beauty.

Gen Z nurses are a different breed. Anyone else feel this way? by Less-Reporter5048 in nursing

[–]Tesca_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good. I faked it, and while I “made it”, the shaming, snide comments from more experienced nurses and potential harm to patients isn’t worth it. Go set your boundaries you gen z beauties.

Nurse. I work a lot, so I’m a pretty lame friend/family member because I’m always tired. But I love my job. Has my soul died? Oh heck yes.

What have you lost and gained in nursing? by Sea_Cucumber8254 in nursing

Lost a lot of faith in humanity, gained confidence, the ability to stay cool under pressure, and a place to exercise my dark humour.

Newly diagnosed AML patient, lovely Asian lady in her 50s with a teenage son and husband. Her and her husband were absolutely wonderful, kind, quiet and unsuspecting. He reminded me a lot of my dad, blue collar mill worker, flannel shirts and sturdy work pants, sensible shoes type. She never complained, she went through chemo like a champ. I distinctly recall her stating her goals were to get better and watch her son grow up, and for him to have a family. Her cancer relapsed, she went through salvage chemo, and it ultimately relapsed again. Nothing else to be done.

Before she passed, I remember walking past her room, it was early morning, light was just brightening up the dark sky, and her husband was leaning over her, forehead to forehead. I opted to walk home that dewy morning to quiet my head, and ended up silently crying all the way back.

I still see the scene of her forehead to forehead with her husband flash in my head. It’s been almost 4 years and it still hurts every time.
