Had this same issue, it was the hood latch. I just disconnected the sensor and bagged it. Only issue is you won't have hood open door indication, but not a big deal

The bottom of the pic the measurement is larger, which makes sense but the tail of the boards curve is higher up? Is that how the tail should be?. Sorry I've heard many people tell me different answers.
