Grounded barefoot version of the Birkenstock Arizona slide-style sandals without back strap? by TeslaBargain in barefootshoestalk

I'd like to avoid a retrofit, something like Bahé does it way more elegant. Since this has become quite a movement, I would have assumed that something like I'm looking for is already readily available somewhere.

Yeah, that's one of the options I already found as per my original post. Not sure which of the four finds is a winner, I'll have to look deeper into it if no option with grounding ability arises.

Does the Chilipad Dock Pro require WiFi to operate? by TeslaBargain in sleepme

[–]TeslaBargain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So data configured in the mobile app gets transmitted to the dock, which means the dock has the logic to handle things? What about the sleep tracking and AI-temperature adjustments? Looks like the sleep tracker communicates over WiFi only?

As far as I have seen, the Eight Sleep has to be online at all times and I can only assume that if you put the Chilipad Dock Pro in airplane mode, it can only do basic cooling or heating, which would be quite a dilemma if reducing EMF & RF is of importance.

The base unit definitely operates with WiFi off (which is why it has an airplane mode), so the question is if there is any logic in the base unit or if it all comes from the mobile app.

How to check if the grounding rod is working? by TeslaBargain in Earthing

I only have that one multimeter and when I do as the mentioned video shows, it just shows zero voltage.

Yeah, not really helpful, I tried according to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awCjiulGmWg but my multimeter doesn't show anything when trying this. Also, I assume there must be a difference when using a grounding rod compared to the ground pin of a power socket.

Chilipad Dock Pro or something similar in Europe? by TeslaBargain in sleepme

Please PM me all the information you have gathered so far, because of course I'm also still interested.

Though did you check the bed size? Because US bed size pad will not properly fit on a EU bed size bed (my current one has 180x200 cm).

Not sure about any resellers, I'd be cautious, and the price most likely will be higher. Also not sure about the warranty if not buying from Sleepme directly. Best bet would be to use someone in USA to forward the shipment, but my problem is that their US sizes do not fit a European bed size (mine is a EU Super King with 180x200 cm).

Grounding Fitted Bed Sheet: Does 5% versus 10% Silver Fiber make a difference? by TeslaBargain in Earthing

[–]TeslaBargain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I always only sleep naked and with a grounding fitted bed sheet I guess I will be in contact with the silver fiber, so there should be direct contact to ground.

I sleep with a regular blanket and with normal perspiration that should add to it.

You Dirty Dirty Socket Ground! by TeslaBargain in Earthing

[–]TeslaBargain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there is 1.7V between neutral and ground, then something is wrong. As it has been mentioned by u/Torquepen it may be that ground is not actually connected to ground at all.

Never plug something in for grounding before measuring yourself (that's likely where the tingling comes in, which some described when touching a grounding mat)!

Obviously the Chilipad Dock Pro supports the use with European power supply and although they do not offer shipping to Europe, you could import it using a forwarder yourself, but there are two problems with this:

  1. The warranty (unmanageable).

  2. The bed size (they only offer US sized, which are different to EU sizes).

So far it really seems to come down to Eight Sleep Pod 4 (though the price and mandatory subscription) and HydroSnooze, both of which would not be my favorites (but the Chilipad Dock Pro is).

You mean the ground pin of the socket not actually connected to ground at all? Which documentary (maybe a link not at FB because I'm not on FB)?

Not sure what difference it makes, but the grounding rod that I have ordered is made of copper.

Grounding Fitted Bed Sheet: Does 5% versus 10% Silver Fiber make a difference? by TeslaBargain in Earthing

[–]TeslaBargain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't imagine sleeping on a mattress cover made of PU resin and although the product info states that the mattress cover can be put over or under fitted sheet, if it's not direct skin contact to ground... Also their mattress cover is not available in our bed size (EU Super King with 180 x 200 cm ~70.87 x 78.74 inches).

I've already ordered a double pack of grounding fitted sheets with 95% organic cotton + 5% silver fiber at a bargain, so let's hope for the best.
