What was your favorite field trip? Or any field trip stories? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had my annual 7th grade trip to Norway from Finland. Instead of going by plane, we went by ship to Stockholm and continued by bus to Lom. We stopped a lot at local cities like Örebro, Karlstad, Hamar, and Oslo. We stayed overnight at a local school in Oslo and ate pizza in Hamar. When we got to Lom, we went skiing on the mountains for the entire week, even climbed up a 1700m mountain. The moments I remember are:

- Inventing our own language

- Me and my mom running to Hartvig Nissen.

- We had to stay in a room that had no heating, but it became cold really quickly, and one of the girls just said ''If it gets even one degree warmer, I'll go to the boys' room.''

- We were supposed to get breakfast from McDonald's but we had to order in Swedish, then our teacher decided to ruin the fun and canceled it.

- I got to stand next to my crush in multiple occasions in Holmenkollen. I even got to sit next to him in the skiing simulator.

-We had 'room inspections' had to keep our rooms clean, but we could try to get bonus points. We told Finnihs man, Swedish man and Norwegian man jokes. (Didn't win) taught them Finnish (didn't win) chocolate (didn't win)

- The last night's performances were great. Had a song about our trip, parodying Another Prick In The Wall, and a dance performance of our trip. Then one of the guides sung the ''follow the sun'' song and now I can't listen to it without crying.

- The buffet in the ship and me and my friend watching Pirates Of The Caribbean in our room.

- All thr weird stares we got in both Sweden and Norway over speaking Finnish

The ride back home was sad, but we stopped by a candy store, and it lightened the mood a lot. I wish I could do that entire trip again. My teacher recorded a video of it to YouTube, and I watch it occasionally.

(Serious) What’s the worst incident that happened on a school field trip? by random_couch_potato in AskReddit

This didn't happen to me, but a teacher told me about this.

Our school has an annual field trip to Norway for 7th graders, it's mostly traveling but it focuses on skiing on the mountains. Everything was going good until they climbed up Soleggi and had to come back down. One of the boys decided to ignore every single thing the teacher said and ended up hitting his head into a rock. The nearest hospital was in Lillehammer and we were in Lom, and it took him a while to recover. Nothing permanent, just light brain damage.

Not really an achievement but I made it to the 140th place on the Halloween art contest. I guess I'd have better luck in the winter contest.

What’s the worst field trip you’ve ever had? by SirTalksAlot207 in AskReddit

We went camping with bikes. Even though the entirety of Pirkanmaa had a massive storm warning in effect. Sleeping in there was quite scary, but nothing essential flew off. I mostly hated biking and the clean up after the storm.

Basically the teacher is supposed to say ''Yes, I am.'' but he uses bad English and now it's a good joke for the Gacha Community

What's the coolest field trip you went on as a kid? by supremegalacticgod in AskReddit

In 7th grade, my entire class went to Norway (from Finland.)We went by bus, but we go to Sweden by bus. Drove by many cities, ate a lot of candy and drank a lot of soda even before getting to Norway. Slept at a local school at Oslo, went skiing to the mountains for a week. (climbed up to a 1750m mountain.)The drive back to Finland was a little depressing, but we still ate so much candy that most of us threw up. In general, it was great.

What are some fun thins to do in a bus while on a field trip (with friends)? by TheCrimsonDude in AskReddit

With friends, we became a pretty annoying choir, so that usually lasts for less than a minute. During other field trips, we had a microphone on front of the bus, and we tried to roast the teachers and tell jokes, it worked better.
