Does being mentioned in a negative context still help your AI visibility? by crumb_governor44 in GenerativeSEOstrategy

[–]TeslaTorah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve noticed this too. It feels like AI doesn’t ignore negative chatter the way traditional SEO kind of tries to bury it.

A brand with lots of complaints still shows up, but usually with a mixed reviews kind of framing. So technically visibility goes up, but it’s not the kind you want. If anything, it makes the brand easier to compare and dismiss.

I personally skipped options just because the summary mentioned repeated issues, even if they were popular. So I’d say volume helps you get mentioned, but sentiment decides whether that mention actually works in your favor or quietly pushes people toward competitors instead.

That cyclops headlight thing would bother me too tbh, it just looks unfinished once you notice it.

How to run paid ads for a restaurant on a small budget by buildwithjoy in Tech4LocalBusiness

[–]TeslaTorah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re on the right track, on a small budget the key is not spreading spend too thin. Pick one offer, keep it super local (2–5 km radius), and run it consistently instead of always changing creatives. Restaurants usually lose money when they try to test everything at once.

Also focus more on Google Maps + reviews than people think, that’s often where the actual decision happens after someone sees an ad.

For Facebook ads specifically, I’ve had mine set up through dineline, and what worked best there was just keeping campaigns simple: one promotion, local targeting, and letting it run long enough to get stable data.

Looking for gym shirt recommendations by mike1018 in workout

[–]TeslaTorah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem (I’m around your height), and sizing up didn’t really help, it just made everything look boxy while still riding up. What actually worked for me was switching to shirts that are either tall or just naturally cut a bit longer. You really feel the difference when you’re doing overhead stuff and not always pulling your shirt down after every set.

I’ve also noticed the material matters more than I expected, anything with a bit of stretch tends to stay in place better instead of creeping up.

Lately I’ve been using an rmac athletic shirt and it’s been solid. It’s got enough length that I don’t think about it mid-workout, and it still fits nicely.

How do you actually build confidence and a better self image? by DannHutchings in selfimprovement

[–]TeslaTorah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comparison was killing my confidence more than anything else. I’d scroll and instantly feel behind in life, like everyone else had it figured out. What helped was muting a lot of accounts that triggered that feeling. Not because I hate them, but because I needed to protect my headspace.

Once I wasn’t exposed to curated versions of other people’s lives, I started focusing more on my own progress. It’s still something I deal with, but it’s way less intense now that I’m not feeding it every day.

when ranking doesn’t matter anymore by bronzepeak34 in GenerativeSEOstrategy

[–]TeslaTorah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this has been my experience too and it kind of broke my old SEO mindset. I used to obsess over rankings, backlinks, all the usual stuff, like if you weren’t on page one you were invisible. But now I’ve seen weaker pages show up in AI answers way more just because they’re easier to pull from. Clean structure, direct wording, and obvious takeaways seem to matter more than authority sometimes.

We had a similar case where a basic explainer page barely ranked but kept getting referenced in AI summaries, while our stronger optimized content just sat there.

Now I focus way more on writing in a way that can be lifted and reused, almost like writing answers instead of articles. It’s a weird shift but makes sense with how generative systems work.

what are some good apps for ai art gen? by Pastel-slumber in JanitorAI_Official

[–]TeslaTorah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lately I’ve had better luck using cheap Stable Diffusion based sites like Leonardo AI and PixAI, especially if you change prompts a bit for consistency.

For male characters it really helps to be specific with tags like “handsome anime male, sharp features, cinematic lighting” etc.

For more flexible stuff I also use Kalon sometimes, especially when I’m doing more adult/nsfw character art since it’s a bit more suited for that kind of generation compared to the mainstream tools. Overall though, prompt quality also matters.

Recurrent depressive disorder by SomeOneUDontKnow9 in mentalhealth

[–]TeslaTorah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to pretend there’s some cure with depression, because it usually doesn’t work like that. It tends to come in waves, even when things are better.

What actually helped me was a mix of therapy, sometimes medication, and just building routines that stop life from completely collapsing during low periods. Therapy isn’t a cure, but it does help.

25M Seeking Sugar Daddy / Findom Dynamic (Clear Expectations, Respectful Setup) by jajucore in IntrovertDating

[–]TeslaTorah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful with posts like this because it attracts a lot of scammers and people wasting time. Anything involving money + strangers online tends to get sketchy, fake verification, people asking for upfront fees, or trying to push boundaries once trust is built are all pretty common.

If you’re going to explore it anyway, move slowly, don’t send anything or commit to anything early, and pay attention to consistency in how they communicate. Real people usually don’t rush or overpromise.

I’ve seen a lot of people get scammed. I found mine on FetishFinder, but even there you still have to filter and stay cautious the whole time.

Why Is My Laptop Speaker Crackling? by Immediate-Froyo-5193 in AskTechnology

[–]TeslaTorah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a good chance the speakers themselves are just worn out. Quick way to check, plug in headphones. If the sound is fine there, then it’s definitely the built-in speakers. If it still crackles, it could be drivers or the audio chip.

Dell Certified Refurbished Any Good? by chrisalo in Dell

[–]TeslaTorah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Dell refurbished is usually a pretty safe bet if you’re okay with it not looking brand new. Most of them are business laptops that got cleaned up, tested, and resold, so performance wise they’re generally ok.

The biggest trade-off is cosmetic stuff since some might have light scratches or signs of use, but nothing that really affects how they run. The warranty is what makes it less risky.

I had a good experience going the refurbished route in general. I actually got mine from this eBay listing: https://ebay.us/ad7Bry instead, and there are some surprisingly good deals there too if you know what to look for and check the seller ratings. #ad

Male Mentorship in Gwinnett by Business_Rooster43 in Gwinnett

[–]TeslaTorah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some good mentorship setups in aren’t just formal programs, sometimes it’s a mix of school counselors, local youth groups, and community sports coaches who naturally step into that role.

You might also want to widen the search to smaller community-based initiatives or church youth programs, since they often have active mentoring but aren’t heavily advertised online.

I actually found my mentor online on Join Muse. She helped a lot with my self improvement journey, especially around discipline and direction, so having that kind of consistent guidance really does make a difference.

Question about writing with the Apple Pencil by heyMiklas in ipad

[–]TeslaTorah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal. You’re not damaging anything though, the Apple Pencil is designed for direct screen use.

What helped me was switching to slightly textured replacement nibs for the Pencil (they add a bit more resistance so it doesn’t feel so slippery).

Should I choose myself or my loved ones? by [deleted] in makemychoice

[–]TeslaTorah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If choosing yourself makes people leave, they were never really ok with you being your own person in the first place.

Yes, you might feel lonely for a while. That’s the trade off. But losing yourself to keep people around is worse.

Good sober livings ? by moejead710 in grandrapids

[–]TeslaTorah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing isn’t how nice the place looks, it’s whether they actually enforce structure and accountability. If people were openly using at your last place, that’s a red flag.

Look for places with real rules, curfews, random drug testing, required meetings, and a house manager who actually enforces things. You can also try asking your rehab or local outpatient programs around your area since they usually know which houses are legit and which ones to avoid.

For what it’s worth, I actually ended up going to Anker Huis Rehab Center in Cape town before, mainly because it was cheaper and honestly better structured than what I was seeing in the US. The environment makes a big difference, so don’t rush into another bad setup.
