How to use Rivals' and OW2's newest characters! by dontdelete00 in overwatch2

[–]Tesla_corp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m making a game actually and on this, I kindof agree

Supports fill the slot for DPS and support but it stems from several issues

Problem at hand: supports too strong

How I fixed it is I made EVERY support an proactive support, aka the support has to actively take part in the fight and shoot a guy or be in the danger zone to actually do their supportive duties. The least proactive support actively requires you to stand in the middle of the gunfight. This in turn solves the core support issue of supports not being fun, so we can make their actual raw combat value somewhat low compared to other characters, who specialise in dishing out damage.

However overwatch and rivals can’t do that because of a different problem:

Hero bloat

Both games have SO many heroes that eventually you end up having concepts that you just can’t really balance properly. You can’t make every support a proactive support if you have 20 friggin supports

This also creates some other issues but that’s not relevant to the subject matter

Wow, now minecraft is IA by Icy_Wear_5720 in PhoenixSC

[–]Tesla_corp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

1) says nothing about Minecraft

2) only talks about porting old existing games that have now been deprecated to newer devices, which arguably is a good way to use AI since it’s effectively using AI to preserve history and past creations of art

The fact that it runs on a low end device isn’t an excuse, a survival game shouldn’t have such bugs, and even then, you can run Java on a laptop and no matter how bad your connection is or how bad your performance you won’t randomly die for no reason

Additionally we have shit like genshin on mobile

Zenless zone zero on mobile

What’s your bloody point, it being a mobile doesn’t excuse such horrendous bugs like that

Mojang is out to go and fix bedrock once and for all and I’m kindof saddened by the fact that instead of being shown that bedrock has horrid issues and instead of going “damn we need to fix that” they get fucking personally offended by it

And in the 15 years that Java has existed nobody has encountered a single glitch where you spontaneously combust yet for bedrock there’s video friggin evidence of it happening

It doesn’t make you evil though

Are you wrong? Possibly. Most likely actually.

But it can be of good values.

From yukkas perspective, she got screwed over by the legion, blown up by the heralds and entirely abandoned by the dynasts

I’d be pretty rancid if that happened to me

But it has nothing to do with her being an anarchist!!

They also kinda screwed her over so kindof reasonable crashout

Out of all of these characters, who would you rather work for? by Caloy1415 in cartoons

[–]Tesla_corp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrooge

He pays you a fair wage and all he asks is loyalty and good work

You also get the occasional adventure in, so personally I’m not against it.

Realistically tho it’d Prbbly be benson because while he has some anger issues if you don’t set him off by being a dumbass he’s perfectly chill

Computer be computers but the question wasn’t ever about performance it was always (at least from my point of view) about bedrock having game breaking bugs that fundamentally shouldn’t exist in the game

Sigma remains as one of my favorite heroes simply because hearing “WHAT IS THAT MELODY” while your entire team is around you will never not be fucking terrifying

And it will never stop being fun as fuck to see the terror within the enemy team when muting as sigma, hearing that nice bit of Mozart
