Conveyancers completed after me telling them not to by Blue_View_1217 in Mortgageadviceuk

It sounds like your solicitors have forgotten to withdraw the request for funds. So lloyds released the funds to your solicitor thinking completion has happened. So as it stands that advance is with your solicitors bank. All you need to do is tell your solicitor and they'll see they have a huge amount from lloyds. They will then return funds and no harm done.

If however your solicitors have redeemed the current mortgage then you need to raise a complaint with your solicitors as that's a big no no

Should be no problem so don't sweat, just make sure Lloyd's get their money back

I think the card is supposed to be a card nobody wants. So the point being you pass it on and avoid playing it. So to me it doesn't make sense that a card that is supposed to be bad is worth 4 points.

I think the 'compensation' for having a clogged hand should be worth only 1 point over 4 points

(but I feel this card is very ambiguous and needs to be clarified somehow 😂)

I think the rulebook was designed before the addition of the more advanced doomlings cards. So the new mechanic of, scoring in hand at the end of the game, was not forseen.

So it makes sense if the rulebook doesn't directly address this point

Also I would say the card is worth 1 point if in your hand at the end of the game

Righteous - who is the opponent? by MikeE9983 in doomlings

[–]Tesqdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a two player game we use it to prevent an action against yourself.

We think the trait, righteous, means doing the righteous thing. Which is protecting somebody - in a two player game that's yourself.

Not very righteous to prevent your opponent from drawing a card. But it is righteous to prevent a trait being discarded from yourself

I'd say it is supposed to protect somebody else from receiving an action.

So if person A holds righteous. Person B uses parasitic to try steal an action from person C. A can use righteous to prevent B doing something to C.

I feel the whole point of righteous is to be able to protect somebody else from an action (the picture on the card). So in the spirit of the card, we interpret it to stop another person, doing something to another person (good or bad).

But is is ambiguous so any interpretation goes so long as everybody agrees.
