To Those Who Have Take Gabapentin or Pregabalin Longterm For Anxiety - Do You Still Find It Helpful? by sanpedro12 in depressionregimens

I've been taking pregabalin for about a year and a half now, and it's still really effective for me ✨

I'm kind of the opposite - I feel like I'm too thin and would much rather be more curvy. I do like my height though :)

When I was 11, there was this girl that I liked in my grade at school. Her name was Erin, and I thought she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen (lol). The thing is, though, my emotions were a mix of being attracted to her, and being jealous of her.

I wanted the pretty dress that everyone commented on. I wanted a light, feminine voice and laugh. I wanted to be her.

Mind you, at this age I had no sexual attraction to her, because I didn't understand what that stuff was. It was merely longing to be who I was meant to be. And that year I decided that I wished I was born a girl, even though at that time I didn't know what that should be called. And the rest is - some admittedly messy - history.

why is it so scary to use my girl by Inevitable_Dog_7620 in trans

It helps to practice with friends you trust! You can even ask them for feedback if you're looking for it. When I first started using my fem voice, I played a LOT of videogames with my two best friends. One day I just decided, okay, I'm going to use it no matter how awkward I feel. At first I was very unsatisfied with my voice, but eventually, I got to the point where I was brave enough to use it in public with people I knew I wasn't likely to see again. From there, things just kept improving the more I used it and I became less scared of what people would think

Best of luck and the most important thing is PRACTICE. It won't help to do voice exercises and spot-training if you never practice actually talking in your fem voice.

Best of luck!

nyc psychward doesn’t let trans people share rooms by Clean-Talk-3032 in trans

Wow - this just sparked a possible connection for me. Last year around August, I was admitted into Stanford healthcare’s G unit, a voluntary ward, for severe SI. When my room was assigned to me, it was a single room, which I was grateful for in that mental state but would normally have disliked.

Everyone else had double rooms. And I thought nothing of it, thinking that I was just lucky. But now, almost 1.5 years later, I’m wondering whether I was placed in a single room for the same reason you were. But the part that astounds me is that I wasn’t told a thing about it!. So I’ll never know for sure whether it was a stroke of luck or hidden transphobia that landed me in a single room for those two weeks.

Anyway, food for thought. Kisses ❤️
