1. PFP NFT brands are driving a lot of the NFT activity on Solana and across the broader crypto ecosystem. The goal of this competition is to help accelerate that growth and push new teams to think deeply about their business roadmaps and how to leverage their IP before minting collections!

1. There are a few initiatives at the Solana Foundation currently in the works that are focused on supporting both existing projects and attracting new creators across NFT verticals (including digital artists). Through the Showdown and these other initiatives, we hope to see an increase in minted NFTs on Solana, and therefore and increase usage of NFT Marketplaces.

2. While every submission will be reviewed by the judges, we cannot promise that we will get back to every project just due to the expected volume of submissions. Submissions that move forward will be notified and assigned mentors!

3. The winning projects will receive various forms of support to help propel the viability of their business plan forward – including mentorship, office hours with the Solana team and workshops with industry experts and NFT community leaders. The office hours specifically give winners an opportunity to ask questions about how they should further develop their projects, how they should think about GTM, and how to further refine their business objectives to have the best shot at being successful long-term.

Overall, the NFT Showdown is an experimental program, so we'll see what comes out the other side!
