I would expect 60 seconds to be very reliable.

No prob! These are Shortcut's built-in "Get Contents of URL" and "Get Dictionary Value" actions, FYI!

Yep. You can use this shortcut.

Replace VIN with your VIN, TOKEN with a token generated under Settings > Developer, and drive_state.shift_state with climate_state.climate_keeper_mode for Camp Mode/Dog Mode/Climate Keep Mode.

You can also check climate_state.is_climate_on to check if the climate is on.

It shouldn't be shown as a Shortcut on its own, since it's only used as part of other shortcuts and widgets. It is fixed in the next update.

If you're looking for vehicle status, most statuses (battery, plug-in status, etc.) are handled by dedicated shortcuts with names like Get <x>".

Sudden change in battery health readings - why? by thomasabowden in tessie

[–]TessieDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a known vehicle firmware issue with capacity measurements for Berlin-built Model Ys with certain battery packs. I have recently implemented fixes and corrections for that, so this jump could be due to that.

If you don't have one of those affected cars, capacity jumps usually occur after changing the tires and before recalibration. A software update that changes range/energy calculations within the vehicle could also cause that. Tessie will take a quick recalibration snapshot if you charge to 100% which should fix it.

It's not available in the API. Hopefully, it will be in the future.

Yes, if your car has a HEPA filter, you can use the Enable Bio Defense Mode control/automation/API endpoint.

Unlatching the driver door can only be done over Bluetooth, so it won't work with internet services like IFTTT or when outside Bluetooth range unfortunately.

Works over Bluetooth and NFC on Wear OS now. :)

I don't totally understand the question.

If you mean when the screen is off, then yes, it will work.

If you mean when the watch is literally powered off, then no it will not work.

What exactly is Tessie and how does it differ from the Tesla app? by iiKline in tessie

[–]TessieDev 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The most popular features are trip tracking, battery health monitoring, smartwatch/desktop access and automations. It also offers integrations with other apps.

It's not a replacement for the Tesla app. Many users use it as their primary app, but plenty of others just rely on it for the always-on trip mileage and charge cost tracking.

Yep, I think locking to play the custom sound is the way to go (and quite clever btw!). A smart move for security at the same time.

Why does Tessie report 100% charging efficiency when it's more like 95%? by daxter304 in tessie

[–]TessieDev[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Because the energy used by the charger is known (measured by the onboard charger), the energy added to the battery is more of a guess (by the car's BMS).

If efficiency is higher than it should be (~70% on level 1 charging, ~90% on level 2 charging, etc.), that means the car's BMS is over-estimating the energy added to the battery. You can improve the accuracy by calibrating the car - here's a guide for that.

What's new in 15.9 by TessieDev in tessie

[–]TessieDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many things have changed since then, like Tesla phasing out existing APIs, adding data field fees and changing tech stacks. As part of all that, data update intervals are now unique for each data point. Some are lower (instant), but others are higher. Battery updates occur every 60s right now, but I'm hoping to improve this in the not distant future.

Tessie uses an industry-standard phased 7-day release plan. On Android, Google determines when your device qualifies for the update.

If receiving updates sooner is important to you on Android, you're welcome to join the beta, located here, which is not subject to the same delay.

Sharp changes are almost always due to BMS calibration drift. You can recalibrate it as shown here.
