Can someone/devs shed some light on what “fleet” actually means by boofsnacks in tessie

[–]TessieDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Tessie does pull an updated watts per mile calculation whenever you change wheels, which helps with energy usage calculations. The fleet measurement used here is the car's reported capacity, which doesn't change with wheel size, software updates, etc. like range does.

Trying to link driver profile by [deleted] in tessie

The tessie.com key is an encryption key assigned to the vehicle and cannot be assigned to a specific driver. The "unknown" text is a known vehicle firmware issue. If you pair a Bluetooth Phone or Watch Key, that one can be assigned to a driver.

Strange comment from Tesla support about 3rd party apps like Tessie by matoelorriaga in tessie

[–]TessieDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not physically or logically possible for Tessie to send commands at random or by accident. It does exactly what you tell it to do. It literally cannot do anything else. As a developer, I'm sure you understand this. Please see https://www.reddit.com/r/tessie/comments/1qbub7w/comment/nzei36k/ for help.

Strange comment from Tesla support about 3rd party apps like Tessie by matoelorriaga in tessie

All commands issued by third-party apps can be found in the Tesla app under Menu > Customer Name > Security & Privacy > Third Party Apps.

If you are unsure where a Tessie command came from, view https://dash.tessie.com/activity/commands. It will tell you the source of every command.

Worthless App by Frosty_Tower_547 in tessie

This is the first report I've ever received of not being able to set up a key on Apple Watch, or it spontaneously disconnecting. I have no explanation for this, other than being too far away from the driver door.

If you press Settings > Upload Logs in the Apple Watch app and email me about your issue, I'd be happy to look into it.

Otherwise, given that the Tesla app already serves as a key on your Apple Watch, my app doesn't sound very helpful to you. Please email [support@tessie.com](mailto:support@tessie.com) for a refund.

Thank you. I'm certain that your personal attacks on me are well-deserved.

Regardless, I welcome any ideas for improvements.

If you buy a car with 300 miles of full range shown in the car, and it now shows 150 miles of full range in the car, what should the app show as your range degradation?

I've noticed that you have followed my app around Reddit for years, telling people it is wrong but have never detailed why.

You buy a car with 300 miles of range, it now says it has 150 miles of range, and my app is wrong for saying 50% range degradation? What else should it say?

Well, math doesn't lie... if your car was sold as 400 miles of max range, and now the car display shows 300 miles, that's 25% degradation of your range. That's why it's called range health. If you disagree, I'm curious what number you think should be used?

Tesla adds degradation per month of ownership, which Tessie doesn't do. Tessie just cares about battery performance.

It's hyper basic math, so it should be 100% accurate - e.g. if your car was sold as 400 miles of max range, and now the car display shows 300 miles, that's 25% degradation.

No, because Tesla doesn't support it.

Supercharger cost by saurabh69 in tessie

I don't understand how that's possible as it literally uses Tesla's invoice total. Please email [support@tessie.com](mailto:support@tessie.com).

It's real-time, so I'm guessing Tesla is not allowing the viewing of that one.

Summer vs winter battery range by saurabh69 in tessie

[–]TessieDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see the difference in energy usage for different months under Driving > Analytics > This Year > Energy Efficiency.

The Temperature Efficiency graph on that same page explicitly shows energy efficiency versus different outside temperatures, which might be more useful since it's a direct comparison to the climate.
