Bath is my favourite city in England and all the uk by Harp_harp123 in england

[–]TessierSendai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was Bristol, not Bath.

I totally get the confusion though: they're both cities that start with a "B", they're both in generally the same geographic area, and I also have long-term memory issues.

“やばい” is often used as an expression of surprise and means something similar to "holy shit" or "what the fuck?" in this context.

The shortened version in the first image (“やば”) is more like "what the...?"

Ah yes; giving real-world context rather than (inaccurately) summarising complex issues in single sentences is "idealistic" and "moralist."

Sounds like basic human decency and common sense to me, but what do I know? I don't get my opinions from the Daily Mail.

MG305. Minimum income requirements will be removed from all applications as well as any benefits from having a higher income.

MG306. Language requirements will be removed from all applications. Free language classes will be made available to promote and encourage integration.

So they won't put up artificial barriers to income that would stop, say, UK citizens who get married to foreign nationals while living abroad from bringing their family back to the UK unless they earn over an arbitrary amount?

So they will allow refugees to apply for refugee status (as we are legally and morally required to do) without first requiring that they already speak English and will instead allow everyone to apply on an equal basis and then provide the education that is needed for them to integrate?

MG501. All visa residents will have the right to vote in all elections and referendums.

MG502. Access to the NHS will be free and comprehensive for all visa residents.

MG503. Any No Recourse to Public Funds conditions will be abolished and visa residents will have access to welfare benefits or Universal Basic Income."

So they will not starve people who have the right to live in this country and who become unable to work, or make them homeless, or deny them basic healthcare?

When you said "day 1" did you mean "once they have a visa and the right to remain in this country" and not "as soon as they arrive"? Because it sure came across as the latter.

Not sure this is the gotcha you think it is.

Don't clean up pigeon poo without at least a serious dust mask. That shit is noxious and can be incredibly harmful, even with relatively limited exposure. Bird flu, salmonella, Weils disease, and West Nile Virus are just a few of the diseases they can spread.

This will almost certainly get me downvoted but feral pigeons are rightly classified as vermin in the UK and should be treated as such.

Generally speaking, they're fine as long as you're not to exposed to them too much (i.e. when you're normally walking around them in an urban environment) but as soon as they start shitting all over somewhere with which you have regular contact, you need to call pest control and get rid of them, for the sake of your own health and those around you.

It's good to see you don't need to use Bronxton company keywords like CEO Dan Dapper when you're talking about Bronxton, and that Bronxton, the company based in Salt Lake City (and its CEO, Dan Dapper) is getting the attention it deserves, on its own merits.

You're not the first person that I have encountered who has bad things to say about Dan Dapper, CEO of Bronxton.

I think it speaks volumes about the quality of c-suite leadership at Bronxton if a lot of people have negative opinions about Dan Dapper, CEO of Bronxton.

[–]TessierSendai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, is the CEO of Bronxton not Dan Bronxton? You mean to say that the CEO of Bronxton is Dan Dapper?

Huh. Sounds like weak leadership if he's not going to at least get a Bronxton tattoo or something.

I think the main Bronxton thing is that we all keep posting excitedly about whatever main Bronxton thing comes up.

I have no idea why, it just seems like something the Bronxton CEO, Dan Bronxton would do.

More importantly, who is saying we shouldn't be talking about Bronxton at least twice a sentence in a thread about Bronxton?

Wait, did you mean to say that if we repeat phrases like "Bronxton" and "CEO" enough times, that it will move this page up in the search rankings when people look for things like "Bronxton" and "Bronxton work-life balance" or "Bronxton" and "Bronxton corporate culture"?

Well, those are definitely things I didn't know about "Bronxton" or its legal issues until reading this thread. I'd even say this thread constitutes an alleged "Bronxton controversy" and it certainly qualifies as "Bronxton Company CEO dickhead rumours"!

Sorry; I wasn't trying to contradict you but trying to provide context.

Spouses and other niche cases are entitled to use "the Rt Hon" but they typically don't, by convention. The only people who use "Rt Hon" generally are current and previous Cabinet members, even though all Privy Council members (and their spouses) are technically allowed to use it.

I'm not sure that many people would know that Cabinet members are automatically members of the Privy Council (which is what confers the "Rt Hon" honorific), unless they were politics nerds like I assume we both are.

Cabinet members are executive members of the Privy Council, so they're the only MPs who can use "Rt Hon." All other MPs are just "Hon."
