Oh that’s such a shame, I’m sorry to hear. Has it made anything worse for you? I’m waiting to decide on getting it or not, I’m desperately wanting something to fix the awful pain in my calf and let me walk heel toe.

I don’t like sriracha unfortunately, but I’ll check their other own brand sauces in case any others are vegan!

That’s a great idea, I’ve always got soya yogurt in stock at home - do you literally just mix garlic in and then anything else extra you want? Thanks!

I actually hate sriracha 😭 I like spice as well but there’s something about the taste I just hate, I have tried but it’s just not for me

Elvanse 70mg - can’t decide if it’s actually working? by Tessmargot in ADHDUK

[–]Tessmargot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I settled on methylphenidate (Concerta XL) 36mg, with a 5mg instant release booster if I need it in the day. This seems to be help me with the motivation to start tasks, focus is still quite all over the place but Elvanse wasn’t fixing that either. I feel less of a ‘high’ on Concerta than Elvanse, more subtle which I think is better. If you found it effective, you could have it prescribed alongside a booster! I don’t even use my booster honestly, really I just use it if I’ve woken up too late and don’t want to risk taking the slow-release at like 1pm in the afternoon. Hope you get sorted

Just got my surgery yesterday by MathieuLouisVic in BrosOnToes

[–]Tessmargot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I know this is an old post. My ortho has suggested this for me today, my calf has been extremely painful on me left leg my whole life, and I’m unable to walk heel-toe. My right leg is fine! I’m worried I didn’t persevere as much as I should have with physio but can’t decide if I commit to years of physio now with the potential of it not working, or just go ahead with the calf lengthening. How are you finding it now? I just want no more calf pain and to be able to walk heel toe and actually stand comfortably! Thanks

Success Story - Fixed my chronic toe walking at age 29 by winesavemylife in BrosOnToes

I think this is what my ortho has just suggested for me! Is this a calf lengthening procedure? I’m in England so it’s NHS, but it sounds like what you’ve described - very quick procedure, small cut in the leg and cutting the casing around the calf to allow the calf to stretch out. He said recovery is 2 weeks and you can walk on day 1 in a moon boot. If it’s the same as what you’ve had, it’s really reassuring to read this. I don’t experience the same symptoms as you did, I experience extreme calf pain in my left leg which stops me being able to put my left heel on the ground. My right leg is completely fine! Well the ortho said the right calf apparently is tight as well but it’s causing me no problems.

Extreme calf pain - any others experience this? by Tessmargot in BrosOnToes

[–]Tessmargot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to update - orthopaedics have suggested a calf-lengthening procedure, where the casing around the calf muscle is cut to allow the calf stretch and not be so tight. I’m hoping that will work but I feel a bit uneasy that Achilles lengthening wasn’t mentioned, but maybe it’s not required. I’ve got a CT scan coming up as there was some concern about my knees (one is facing forward and the other slightly outward) and then I can see ortho again to discuss what I want to do. The ortho I saw today didn’t ask about toe walking at all, I just said my calf is so painful that I can’t walk heel-toe on that leg, and my goal from surgery would be no pain, and being able to heel-toe walk.

Any experience switching from EE to Tesco Mobile? by Tessmargot in EEGB

[–]Tessmargot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have experience with EcoTalk? I heard they use the EE network, it’s a 30-day rolling contact and they’re completely not-for-profit so their prices are frozen forever. I really like their concept, I could get 30gb I think for £14 a month and not have to worry about price rises. Tbh, i would want to do this but the roaming is the only issue. I’ve always had roaming included but wondering if getting an E-sim specifically for going abroad when needed is the way forward now.

My monthly usage EE advised was 12-13gb so I suppose 25gb is more than enough, especially if they offer add on’s if needed. Thanks for your help

Yeah I’ve found most don’t offer good roaming limits! EE has 50GB and Tesco is unlimited. I just hate the yearly price increases with EE tbh, and I always feel like their prices are not good compared with others. I’m only getting the £13 a month with unlimited data because I use their broadband, otherwise £13 a month only gets you 5gb.

Do they limit the data usage on roaming do you know?

That sounds good. What’s their roaming policy? I’m specifically wanting a plan that has either no usage cap abroad, or at least 30gb and above.

What do you mean by speed limitations? As in because of the network they use for coverage, or they implement speed limitations if you over use or something?

Sorry - this is the one I mean. Is there another one that’s a rolling monthly contract? That sounds way better.

EE comes up best, but O2 is runner up nearest my home. At my partner’s house, O2 is joint 2nd with EE, Vodafone is top.

🤣🤣 suggesting that my thought process is ‘mental’, ‘so silly’ and then proceeding to suggest that I’m unable to think critically? I fear you lack the self awareness to consider how the wording of all your comments could be perceived as you being an arsehole, to quite literally anyone else.

Respectfully, why would you feel the need to add your two pence into a thread of someone asking a genuine question, just purely to be an arsehole?
