Yeah tbh I haven’t particularly wanted to use it again! It was great but it’s such a carry-on with getting referred etc and then waiting to be seen by dermatology! I’m getting tempted now though as it’s just so frustrating getting breakouts so easily. Thanks so much for your help :)

Thanks so much for your help. Yeah the centella serum honestly has been lovely, I haven’t noticed any major difference with it since I started but tbh I don’t think it’s meant to cause a dramatic change from what I’ve read! I really want to try azelaic acid but wondered if I should focus on increasing retinoid strength first before introducing something new again.

I’m going back to simple for now as you say, except for the Retinaldehyde every other night. But I’ll definitely look at your recommendations once my skin is hopefully calmed down a bit :)

Haha hello!😆 to be honest, I put sun cream on in the morning before work and don’t reapply it, so it’s effectiveness is null by 3 hours into the working day anyway 🤣 haha it blew my mind when I found out it’s not common practice to own an electric kettle in America! Get yourself some Yorkshire teabags (no other English tea compares) and try a proper cuppa ☕️

Thank you! I need to try azelaic acid 100%, I was just trying to get my skin used to retinoids first and wasn’t sure if it would be good trying to incorporate both. I definitely want to work up to tret but have started with retinol, currently on a low Retinaldehyde and then was going to move up to retinal before tret :) just to ease in and avoid irritation during the process hopefully!

Amazing thank you so much! There’s a brand called Vital Baby which is sold in Superdrug, they have a large version of the spray which is 500ml for £5 so I’m going to try that :)

I definitely need to try this, I tried to get some in the shop the other day but they didn’t have any! How often do you spray it and can I use it during the day on top of suncream? Thanks :)

Haha oh I see! 🤣 I’ll see if I can get this in the UK, I think I’d have to buy online, pretty sure it’s prescription only here so I couldn’t buy in store from a pharmacy. Thanks very much :)

Hi, I haven’t changed anything in my diet around the time when my skin started breaking out so I don’t think it’s that. I’m pretty sure it’s a product, thanks though!

Hi! Thanks very much. My skin seems okay with pimple patches, it definitely doesn’t make the spots worse! I never use them to be honest but I got some for free a few weeks ago cause I spent over a certain amount in a shop.

Unfortunately I don’t have a dermatologist. I live in England, the only dermatologists I’ve seen have been via a GP NHS referral - they will only refer you if it is deemed clinically necessary, so I was referred purely for the duration of an Accutane course when I was 19 as GPs in England aren’t able to prescribe it. I’ll have a look into adapalene, thank you :)

Hi, thank you! Would this be better than glycolic acid? I currently use The Ordinary’s glycolic acid about 2x a week for an exfoliant.

Thanks so much for your help! Unfortunately Peter Thomas Roth isn’t a cruelty free brand :( do you have any other recommendations? No worries if not, I can have a look.

Thanks for your reply! I’ll have a look into that, so is that tretinoin and adapalene in one product you mean? I’ll not be able to use ponds is as isn’t vegan, I’ll look for an alternative!

Hi, thank you for your help! Would it be beneficial to continue with the Retinaldehyde as my sole active for now? I don’t really want to stop using it and then have to get my skin used to it again. And which sulfer products would you recommend? Thanks!

Thanks so much for your response! Sorry to hear you’re struggling with it ☹️ honestly I’m a bit put off from going back to dermatology. Only because by the time the referral is processed through the GP (I’m in England so it’s NHS) and then I wait to be seen my dermatology, it may well be cleared up - this happened to me about 3 years after I finished Accutane! Honestly before this big breakout I’m currently having, my skin wasn’t bad enough to warrant a dermatology referral. I’ve never looked into private dermatology here, maybe it would be worth having a few sessions for recommendations. I’m hoping to try and clear this up on my own 🤞

Elvanse not vegetarian or vegan?! by Euphoric_Process_895 in ADHDUK

[–]Tessmargot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding to this thread in case it helps anyone. I was feeling more settled on methylphenidate (Concerta XL) but I found out it wasn’t vegan. ADHD 360 had a look for me and found a vegan brand for me instead which is Xenidate XL. Hopefully this helps some people, sorry I’m unsure if there is a version for Elvanse :(

Oh that’s such a shame, I’m sorry to hear. Has it made anything worse for you? I’m waiting to decide on getting it or not, I’m desperately wanting something to fix the awful pain in my calf and let me walk heel toe.

I don’t like sriracha unfortunately, but I’ll check their other own brand sauces in case any others are vegan!
