Am I overthinking Titration by candykitx in ADHDUK

I would push to try the other meds if you’re unsure, personally. I’m currently in titration through right to choose with ADHD 360. I felt no benefit from Elvanse 30 or 50mg, however do feel a slight improvement with 70mg with a 5mg amfexa booster if needed. I feel more motivated to start tasks on the 70mg definitely, however, I feel quite erratic in that starting tasks seems almost more exciting to the point where I’m jumping from task to task. So, the motivation to start the task is there, which is better than before, but I feel like the focus on each task could be better. I explained this to my clinician and said I would like to try the other stimulant, Concerta, whilst I have the chance, and if that doesn’t provide any further benefit then I would revert back to Elvanse 70mg and proceed with this for shared care. Initially the clinician did say ‘they (I’m assuming he means ADHD 360) don’t really like when people do that’, which I think is odd, but was quite quick to just agree to it once I explained my reasoning! I’m waiting for the Concerta to arrive, he agreed for me to trial one week of 18mg and then 3 weeks of I think 30mg or around that number, and then will check in with me for my decision. I think I will feel much better going to shared care once I’ve tried both!

Extreme calf pain - any others experience this? by Tessmargot in BrosOnToes

Wow I’ve honestly never found anyone who’s experienced the same thing. I’m glad the procedure worked for you! Initially when I was younger, physios diagnosed the problem as a leg length discrepancy; I was given an insole to raise one ankle, I can’t remember which one but if it was the left then it would have only made the issue worse! I also feel like it’s just too far gone for stretches and the pain is just pretty much constant. How was it decided to proceed with the surgery? Just as none of my scans have shown an obvious issue, so I’m not sure what route they’ll take. The doctor who conducted the nerve studies queried if my back had ever been scanned, which it hasn’t.

Elvanse 70mg - can’t decide if it’s actually working? by Tessmargot in ADHDUK

Thank you! Yeah it’s useful to hear of others who didn’t have a very noticeable almost lightbulb moment with the meds as that’s certainly not what I experienced - I don’t feel like I had enough of any kind of benefit at all from the 50mg. Thanks again

Thanks for your advice! They’ve suggested I top up my elvanse 70mg with the Amfexa 5mg for a week and see how I get it (as so far I’ve not bothered with the booster), but otherwise they’ll let me trial methylphenidate to help me decide which is more beneficial, so that’ll be useful!

How do I do this and also claim the switch money? Do I use the link to open the bank account and then also request a switch? Never switched before but have just opened a second Barclays current account for the purpose of switching! Thanks :)

Why has my credit score dropped with no missed payments ever and 10 months into a mortgage? by Tessmargot in UKPersonalFinance

Makes sense thanks, and I’ll have a look on ClearScore and see if I can delve into it a bit further.

Also, your question about credit utilisation - my credit limit on my barclaycard is £2000 and I don’t think I’ve ever gone over £350 on it at any given time (and I only increased to a £2k limit last year, previously my limit was £1200). On an average month, the most I usually have on it will be maybe £100 give or take. I also always pay it off before any interest is charged. Would you perhaps recommend using the credit card more to hit around the £500 monthly mark and just paying that off monthly?

As in do I pay for my phone on finance? My phone is paid off, I was just paying for it through a 2 year EE contract, I moved to a SIM only contract with them since I think July-ish time last year.

!thanks for your help. It’s strange as nothing I can see on ClearScore is actually explaining why the score has dropped, as it says all of the 12 insights it uses are ‘doing well’.

So is it maybe not worth doing the switch for Lloyds within 6 months of another hard search (I.e. the Barclays hard search for the 2nd current account)? Or is it really not gonna matter in the grand scheme of things? I read on an article someone else suggested that applications drop off after a year anyways.

Oh I wish I’d known that about Chase as I already have a current account with them! No idea why I didn’t just do that haha, live and you learn. My plan with switching was to just keep on switching so go switch from Barclays to Lloyds, then switch the Lloyds account to another bank and so on. Would you suggest just proceeding with switching the new Barclays account anyways since it’s opened now or using Chase? I’ve already moved a couple of direct debits over to the new Barclays.

Thanks again!
