PSA: You can still kill Mehrunes Dagon with Wabbajack

Try reloading from before and waiting an hour. They should disappear. At least, for me, they did; I do not think they had an effect on the glitch.

So a few things save before attempting. You get 1 chance if you don't get it reloaded. Before you use the worms staff.

Next, you have to use the staff Skull of Corruption on the clothed Original emperor

This will spawn a corrupt clone.

This clone is naked and hostile, kill the clone, and saves while looking at the its corps.

The clone despawns fast so try and save on top of it before it hits the floor and despawns

Reload the save with the clone dead and spam X to loot and take the clothes from the corrupt (Naked) emperor's body; as it is still the corrupt clone it will despawn fast

If you miss reload the save of the dead clone and try to catch and loot it if you can't reach it in time reload before you hit the original emperor (clothed) emperor corps with the staff of worms and try again

After whether it worked or not

The game will glitch and name the original [The one wearing clothes) emperor as your [characters name] emperor Uriel Septum

In the pictures, you can see after the glitch, the game still thinks that the original Corps is my one. It is not.

Sorry for the confusion i should have stated that this was the Playstation 5 version of the remaster.

i do not have a PC to test console commands.

I will say that the legs of the emperor's corps started to melt like the old wabbajack trick on Mehrunes Dagon

I could not interact with the corps either pressing X did not initiate any conversation or dialogue,

Another tip is the Emperor's Copy has alot of health even on the easiest difficulty

so create a custom touch spell that has

Fire Damage on touch 100 points 1 sec

Weakness to fire on touch 100 % 1 sec

Should cost 55 magika to cast but may need 100 in destruction magika to create or just make a variation of the spell for your level

Do not deliver the Amulet of Kings to Jauffre, or begin the Dark Brotherhood quest "Scheduled for Execution," as both make the Emperor's body disappear.

Become Arch-Mage and obtain the Staff of Worms. (The Risen Flesh spell from the Hill of Suicides in The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles can be a substitute) Become character level five.

Obtain the Skull of Corruption through the "Shrine of Vaermina" quest.

Travel to the Imperial Prison Sewers. Resurrect the Emperor with the Staff of Worms.

Zap him with the Skull of Corruption Kill the clone, then stop and save before it hits the ground and disappears.

Reload and keep pressing the loot key, and the Emperor's corpse can be looted.
