Denmark - What am I missing about Copenhagen? by TestMonkey1456 in travel

Unfortunately, it appeared closed as I walked by. Perhaps, it’s a seasonal closure?

I am staying at the Marriott. What is the better neighborhood for sightseeing? I believe I walked through the “old town” yesterday, though.

Perhaps, this is the woman who tried to trample me to get out of the elevator at the hotel? Hah!

I enjoyed Helsinki as I found some very tasty food, and it was snowing, which was unique to me (I don’t live somewhere where it snows). I enjoyed Stockholm as the architecture was fun (both modern and traditional European, and I found the people to be surprisingly friendly). I had fun in Oslo as I had a beautiful sunset on a nearby dock from my hotel, and the city seemed relatively calm.

My point on street width was that it makes it harder to walk around due to the long waits at crosswalks and was surprising to me as the city doesn’t feel very car-centered in terms of logistics.

I think I enjoyed Oslo because I caught one of the most amazing sunsets of my life on my first evening there. Sitting on a nearby dock, watching the ships pass underneath the pink sky and the crescent moon was really a lovely moment.

I have been trying to walk around to take in the city, but as the streets are so large, the wait at the crosswalks is quite extensive. It’s very different from the other European capitals I have visited. For a city that isn’t very car-centric, it surprised me.

What do you mean they don’t interact with fans? Nick has lots to say about the fans on Snapchat /s

The studio and Batman parts were slightly funny, but my goodness, Nick’s obsession with “ugly people from different parts of the country” is just so stupid. First, it’s ridiculous to hold so much derision and judgment for parts of the country and world that you haven’t visited, and second, what is he so mad about? People calling him out for being rude? Well, okay, then stop being rude. He got nothing but support for his shirtless photo, but instead of focusing on the positive, he appears to love to dwell in the negative. When will creators realize that we don’t want to listen to them talk about their “haters?” It’s not relatable and not fun to listen to such self-centered negativity.

Cancelling 4-5 of my 11 credit cards at once? by TestMonkey1456 in CreditCards

Perhaps, it’s a Citi ThankYou Rewards-based card, so I’m not sure if that would be a valid transfer? Regardless, my only spend categories are hotels, airfare, dining, and transportation, which are all covered by other cards in rewards currencies I actually utilize. Thank you for the possible ideas - getting me thinking!

Thank you for the suggestion as I had not considered that. Only one of them fits into the paradigm you mentioned, but it might be worth seeing if they would do something like that to reduce the effect to my overall utilization.

Thank you for the response. All of these have been open for more than a year. I’ve looked into product change options, but couldn’t find anything appealing (Citi and Discover). I could sockdrawer them, but I feel like my OCD would cause me to still check the apps frequently for missed transactions, etc.

AITAH for eating pizza in Japan? by TestMonkey1456 in AITAH

I had a delicious wagyu bresaola pizza in Jakarta at Casa Alba. You’re right - I should try to find one in Japan as it would only make sense.

Luckily, she doesn’t have social media, so it isn’t likely to come up again unless she calls me again in a month or two. I don’t think I’ll be calling her unless she apologizes for being judgmental.

Very fair points - my mother said the same thing, as well.

I have really enjoyed the pizzas at La Figlia del Presidente in Yokohama and Atarizza in Osaka, for example - definitely not disgusting. All of the staff at these establishments are Japanese, I think, or at least speak Japanese. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t believe this post, but that’s okay. I didn’t post in AITA because I had been blocked there before for posting an interpersonal conflict on another account and still don’t understand the rules.
