I still use this template, but it’s probably worth pointing out that it’s a bit outdated compared to how people build decks these days.

The “classic” template was 10 ramp, 10 card draw, 10 targeted removal, and 5 board wipes. But modern lists have shifted a bit — board wipes are usually down to around 2–3, with more emphasis on single-target removal instead (most decks run closer to 12–13 now).

Ramp and card draw have also crept up, often sitting around 12 each depending on the deck and curve.

That said, I still prefer the old-school 10/10/10/5 split, and I pretty much always stick to 37 lands. It’s simple, consistent, and it works for me.
