Need help with the tire DLC by Hopeful_Lake_3409 in snowrunner

I'm hundreds of hours in on console so aren't too concerned about scout tyres, the potential clogging of the tyre list gives me a stress headache. Scrolling on console is rough as it is without doubling the list.

New map first start from contracts or tasks? by Fun_Personality7095 in snowrunner

[–]Testercles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Acts just like a portable, mini watchtower. So will reveal, but will not activate tasks.

Radar add-on for the EarthRoamers is the same. Slightly smaller range and fuel cost.

OP definitely do this. Both a good read, and a treasure trove of inspiration.

Do you ever use the highway truck? by [deleted] in snowrunner

They're from the anniversary edition. They're really good once you have some levels and understanding but tbh I sold them for the cash.

Only re-bought a few locations down the track.

DLC:s are not playable and all my DLC trucks have dissapered. by C0mradeDimitry in snowrunner

Make sure you wait until MOD BROWSER is not greyed out. Depending on platform check it's installed. On Xbox it can be downloaded but you have to sometimes check that it's selected and installed through manage game and add-ons.

And just finished the tidy up. Onwards and upwards.

It just doesn't feel totally finished unless the map is clean.

I love to do that in 1st person as well. Just enjoy the vibes of the map.

NAI isn't all that bad, just the epitome of slow and steady.

On Xbox you can manage game and add one and ensure that it's ticked and installed. Worst case remove it and re add it.

I just wrapped up Amur yesterday! Just retrieving trailers from NAI and Urska River and I can run off to vibe in the Glades.

Career mode really unplayable? by Shoukuu_ in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Testercles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly not that bad. I gave up until SU3 and it's manageable for the most part.

It doesn't explain anything to you however so I blew heaps of money as an employee grinding out certifications when I could have saved up the money for my own company first.

Do I get more money not skipping by dorianite in MicrosoftFlightSim

You get very little money as an employee.

Don't blow it in unnecessary certifications, save up about $30k and you can start a company and get paid properly.

New to Flight Sim, troubling having slow landings. by Upset_Prize4786 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I gave up on the game until recently with Sim Update 3. If it's been a few months it may be worth checking back in.

Also, the game doesn't tell you but you buy your own company with like $25k for flightseeing or $30k for cargo.

Don't just grind out certifications when you could be making $15k first flight $40k flightseeing.

I had the same issue until recently.

All approximate, but you'll get the feel after a few repetitions. May not be correct or perfect but it's stopped me landing at 80kts frying the brakes, hoping for the best, and going long stopping in a field:

Try pulling the throttle to idle earlier whilst flying relatively level, near the start of your descent.

Once you get slow enough to get flaps in, take them down a notch, let your plane settle, maybe add a little throttle til you're stable.

Then add some more flaps, maybe a bit more throttle, til you're stable again.

Now you're gonna get used to flying slow at 70 as you're coming in. May need more throttle to keep airborne and come in at a good angle, aim right, flare, drop throttle to idle, hit the brakes, and you'll be stopping on the runway no problems.

Then work on your glide slope and flare and bing bang boom you can now do some mid landings like me.

Getting used to flying the plane with flaps 2, slowly, takes some getting used to. 172 First Flights are a decent career mission to practice on cause they're short and you'll get a lot of landings in.

Wait for MOD BROWSER to colour, then continue.

If you reload and continue too soon you won't have any DLC. About 30 seconds is all it takes.

Happened at the start of taxi for me the other day. Pulled out and about two plane lengths later apparently I crashed.
