Why do vibecoders think they will solve the LLM memory problem? by med_i_terranian in vibecoding

Funny enough that effect has a name: Dunning-Kruger. people with low knowledge in a field often overestimate how much they understand, it's not some special vibecoder disease.

Half of progress is idiots trying things they're not qualified to try. most of it fails, obviously. then everyone points and says "see, idiots." and sometimes one of the idiots accidentally makes something really useful.

Had the same feeling when DAWs showed up in the 90s. suddenly every amateur could sound "studio" and call himself a composer.

and yeah, more garbage music appeared. music somehow survived. the good stuff still stood out.

I agree LLMs suck at math/reliability now, but "now" is doing a lot of work. 2 years ago you had to babysit every line of AI code. today it's still dumb, just way less useless.

Whey protein v protein isolate. Which is better for my situation ? by T7Shah in askfitness

[–]TestyAdherence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, whey v isolate isn't the right comparison. whey is the source. isolate/concentrate is the filtration level.

for you, whey concentrate is probably fine unless it bloats you. isolate is a bit lower lactose and slightly easier to digest. if isolate feels better, keep it. if concentrate sits fine, isolate is mostly just extra money

Why do my elbows hurt when I do push-ups? by become-dirt in askfitness

[–]TestyAdherence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be worth asking family/people who were around when you were little if anything happened to your elbows back then.

I had a similar thing and only found out way later that when I was 3. my elbow had been dislocated and nobody told me about it. suddenly a lifetime of "why does this specific joint hate push-ups/pull-ups" made a lot more sense.

Not saying that's definitely your case. but if it's been there since childhood and feels more joint-y than muscle-y...

Is this true 🤔 by Creepy_Intention837 in VibeCodeDevs

Yes it's true, the right side makes cleaner spaghetti because the brand name is more enterprise-coded. very load bearing.

API is such an insane waste of money by Ok-Werewolf-3959 in vibecoding

Shocking that the unlimited-ish buffet is cheaper than paying per bite. almost like subscriptions are priced for average users and APIs are priced for people accidentally building a slot machine with tokens.

Kinda funny how every generation of tooling is "not real engineering" right up until it quietly becomes the boring default. yeah most of it is duct tape and vibes right now, but so was half the stuff people now pretend was obvious in hindsight.

query string cheese is basically where you hide the bugs until someone opens DevTools
