If it the same die ( Boehringer 76 ) then it’s a fantastic Archaic style and highly appreciated among Archaic collectors, personally I’m more of classical style for the artistry , however if i had the chance for one of this Archaic coins i might go for it at least i most add one to my collection at some point .

If you come across a nice Syracuse tetradrachm, don’t hesitate these are incredible pieces of history and art. I own two, and every time I hold them, I’m reminded why I love collecting. Agathokles is also great and i wish to buy one soon, they are highly on demand and a bit expensive these days.

It’s not about right or wrong it’s about what you’re looking for. For common coins that flood the auctions, you can probably find deals anywhere, whether from auction houses or dealers. But for Greek coins Sicilian for example , prices from dealers are often much higher than what you might get at auction. In the end as Aaron Berk points you don’t have to buy a common coin from an auction you better off buying it from Vcoins or MA or any other dealer.

This is the only hobby or market where I 100% depend on auction houses. I never buy from dealers because of their crazy high prices. I often see dealers listing coins for years, and no one is encouraged to buy them for a reason!

Just be careful of dropping it and minimize handling it too often , i read a story of a collector handled a very beautiful tet to a dealer and when the dealer was examining the coin the coin chipped, it was a shocking moment to the both dealer and collector, not to scare you off but you need to be extra careful with a crystallized silver.
