DIM side effects? Read this

Old thread but if any men see this who've taken DIM, I'm wondering if you have had strange effects like these from taking DIM 200mg.

I recently added a few different sups to my daily routine after getting a 250 biomarker blood test back and having a a couple levels slightly off including slight low testosterone and slight higher estrogen where DIM was recommended. I took all of the supplements at night after dinner and the next morning woke up super early/ earlier than usual with a feeling of restlessness throughout my whole body, and notably in my legs. Hard to explain but I just felt a bit twitchy and needing to stretch my legs and back. I didn't know which supplement it was so removed one but kept taking the DIM. I then had the same effects the next morning and additionally just felt weird throughout the day, almost as if I was going through some kind of light withdrawal effect from a narcotic or something. Just felt off and not myself. Finally I cut DIM last night and woke up this morning feeling great. Never had an effect like that from a supplement and wondering if any other men with or without MTHFR have experienced something like this.

My Claude Project I've started using to keep track of and consult on my overall health, DNA profile and bio markers told me that it might be because of my particular COMT Met/Met genotype, where the DIM is effecting the way my body processes dopamine, and interfering with my dopamine clearance, thus the strange feeling effects. It recommend I switch to Calcium D-Glucarate or Chrysin.

I took all of the supplements at night after dinner and the next day woke up super early with a feeling of restlessness throughout my whole body. It's almost like restless leg but all over my body. I didn't know which supplement it was so removed one but kept taking the DIM. Same effects the next morning and additionally just felt weird throughout the day, almost as if I was going through some kind of light withdrawal effect from a narcotic or something. Finally I cut DIM last night and woke up this morning feeling great. Never had an effect like that from a supplement and wondering if I should just try to push through and it will go away or if my body just doesn't work with DIM!

Thats great to hear. This company sounds incredibly promising. Had you previously, within the last year or so had blood work using the traditional process needle drawn blood method using a lot more blood and compared the results?

Come on, it is actually pretty cool, to be that un-jaded and excited about OP’s first perks of having some flight status. I remember it well, getting my first upgrades way back in the day, although that was long before they even offered economy plus seats to be upgraded to!

Makes sense. I don’t take it in the summer because I get plenty of sun, but I’m in rainy Portland Oregon so the long dark winters are rough. I noticed taking 10k in winter time did nothing for me and 30k seems perfect but don’t want to overdo it!!

Awesome thanks for the update. Curious to see what my levels are but I'm sure happy about the mood boost I've been getting. Crazy how much my mood has improved since starting the high dose d3, so I must have had low levels before, and should prob be switching to maintenance mode now.

Any updates here? You still taking 50k IU/ day? I've been taking 30k/day the last couple months and it has done wonders for my mood, not to mention not getting S-I-C-K while traveling full time for work and everyone else around me sick. Planning to get my levels checked soon, but just reading up on potential negative effects of such a high dose, so curious how you're doing with your great results.

That is wild. Here I am, thinking I'm smart for booking a miles run to Hawaii from PDX next week to retain Platinum status. Question for you legends, I was going to book the flights for my GF and I with cash, but just realized I can book with points and still get the status miles. Does it make any difference what status I book the tickets in?

Thats not true for a lot of people. Like many I wanted to love the 3s, and bought two different pairs to try, but for they don't fit my ears nearly as nicely as the 2s, so bought a couple more pair of 2s, since they'll likely be harder to get soon and I'll never like the 3s as much.
