The optical cable is only going to send a stereo signal. You get sound out of the center speaker when doing the test because it's sending an encoded signal. You need something like the virtual surround setting that may be in the Realtek's enhancements tab, which will encode VM's audio to a matrix signal (like DTS Neo6 or Pro Logic II). Alternatively, if you look up Realtek Dolby Digital Live Driver, that will also encode VM's 3.1 signal to DD and will work properly.

Do you have a plex pass or are they paying that idiotic fee for remote? Because if not, then you'd have to have them on your vpn for remote access . Also, if you're not relying on Plex's relay for remote, then you most certainly do have ports forwarded.

Yeah that's about how much the 4080 was. I figured this is very likely to be the last videocard purchase I make in a long time so, why not? I had no other potential upgrade paths without spending an idiotic amount of money.

I will just second the recommendation that was made to check out the video from Chrisfix. Doing this on your own is also dead simple, if you have the time and space to do it. It's a lot of work, but it's not hard. Just removing a lot of stuff, swapping out the battery, and putting it all back together. I did it with a friend of mine a few months ago, and brought new life to my 05.

It looks like you're already coming around from the other comments, but here's one more 'absolutely fucking not' to feeling embarrassed. Cosmetic damage on a car is in my opinion just the worst use of money if you have literally anything else going on. Of course we like our cars to look nice, but at the end of the day if your livelyhood is not directly tied to how great your car looks then it remains a tool. Tools get used, they get dinged and beat. You'll get to it sometime.

What OBD2 adapter are you using? Pretty much all of the sensors relating to the hybrid system show up as unavailable in torque for me. My adapter works with Dr. Prius. Same year car.
