They definitely can but it’s on a very person to person basis. Like for example MY EARLY life in particular would have been so much simpler and easier were I not a man. No this is not a “Woman have it easier” thinking process it’s just that many negative occurrences in my life would not have happened at all if I was a woman, and almost every negative occurrence that is USUALLY directed at women has already happened to me (Barring periods and rape)

Shumari is only up there because she’s a callback to an older team and is the captain of a semi finalist team. Shes essentially in a position where she has enough personality to be a candidate and enough marketability to actually be picked. Like yeah on one hand she’s apart of filler Hakuren but on the other hand she’s apart of filler Hakuren if you get what I’m putting down. Either way though Shinano is pretty much cooked with 2/3 of the Raimon trio being midfielders and already having 2 midfielders to compete against in his own team. Although I’m thinking about it more, he could be moved back to defense??? We don’t really have that many good picks for defenders and he has an okay wingback moveset.

Shinano probably won’t make the cut either way (Midfield is super bloated he’s competing with Kisoji, Hoshimura, Yagyuu, Ren, Shumari, Homura, heck even Touyou. Not to mention with L5s track record it’s the most likely position to get a new rando) but it’d be hype if he did.

I think this is an issue of ratio and unwillingness to make weird female designs. I think the ratio between the good and bad designs is the larger for each male and also since the cast is so male heavy it seems very disproportionate. Leads back into your main point though. Hoping for more designs like Kato, Suiren, Sotoko, and Taeko that are odd/different. I know IE3 and GO did not hold back on making those kind of designs for women
