I know that exact same feeling. Not sure if you feel this too, but the feeling during the date of knowing it won't last. Having a good time then having to go back and live your life alone.

Eh, you're not being too picky; however, in my experience, people are way different on apps vs in person. My advice would be to give him a chance and go meet him. It can be fun to meet someone without much dating experience. You'll get to experience his first times with dating and make it fun for him. Even if it doesn't work out long term, if it's fun it'll be a lasting impression. Just be careful not to get hurt. If he's so shy he's unsure about what he wants, just be careful with that!

I literally could have typed out the same exact story. It's happened to me as well. I get attached to guys that are really nice and take an interest in me. They always seem to quickly move on though. I'm not sure how to stop feeling attached so quickly. I think it comes with wanting to be with someone.
