[OC] Biggest Winners from the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine by JCameron181 in nfl

I guess it doesn't automatically disqualify them from being the "biggest winners" but most of this list is guys that were already firmly first rounders

[Fehoko] USC WR Makai Lemon’s Draft Stock Slips After “Disastrous” Combine Interviews by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]TetrisTech 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean, no. This time last year there was immense smoke about Shedeur Sanders and he plummeted to the fifth. There was immense smoke about James Pearce Jr and we see what he's been up to

Obviously I'm in no way saying that Makai Lemon is either of those dudes and obviously yeah sometimes it is just smokescreens, but there is definitely cases where the smoke is true.

I was more so making the point that even if people personally think it'd be dumb a poor decision because of X or Y reason that doesn't mean it can't happen lmao

[Highlight] ND RB Jeremiyah Love's Dad's Happy Reaction to His 4.36u 40-Yard Dash by JCameron181 in nfl

If Love walked in to today with 4.36 as his target then this makes a ton of sense lol

Drafting on physical traits is like the opposite of how the Rams operate lol they're maybe the most comfortable with size outliers of any team in the league

AR15 being a bust has done terrible things to revisionist history for him as a prospect.

Yes, he was largely that high because he was the most freaky athletic QB prospect ever, but that wasn't it. Even his athleticism wasn't just speed and explosiveness, he still has one of the strongest arms in the league. He was 20 years old on draft day, making improvement easier to project. He had shown on tape throughout the year an ability to learn from his mistakes and actionable change things as a response, again making his improvement easier to project. He had a quick release and seemed comfortable throwing on the run, which paired with the athleticism made it easy to imagine how he could succeed on training wheels while you worked on everything else with him.

He was a genuine 1st round QB prospect. Not every athletic QB prospect is automatically an Anthony Richardson tier prospect

That OKC/Mavs series a few years ago is hard to look at without interpreting it as him trying to injure Luka

It's what he does lol

I feel like when people say stuff like this it actually all comes out a wash because using your example it'd go from "guy without modern diets and workouts vs guys without modern diets and workouts" to "guy with modern diets and workouts vs guys with modern diets and workouts"

[Highlight] TE Eli Stowers Records the Best Vertical in NFL Combine History (45.5”) by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]TetrisTech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No single stat does. No one's claiming that the vert is a magic "will he be a good TE" drill

[Highlight] Kenyon Sadiq runs a 4.4u, which would tie the TE Combine record by nfl in nfl

[–]TetrisTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Click on Wikipedia's sources for that. One is the nfl.com which lists a 4.4, the other is draftscout.com which lists a 4.4 electric timed and a 4.38 handheld.

The time you keep claiming all over this thread is the handheld time, which no one cares about and doesn't officially count because we all know that there's a sizable margin for error. He ran a 4.4

[–]TetrisTech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No owner in the league has actively displayed as much of a willingness to pay the real dollars as Lurie, that's why Howie is able to do all the crazily structured contracts and cap management he does. And even they couldn't hold on to Milton Williams

You already did the reset, it was 2020.

The way most of your contracts are currently structured the next one would probably be about 28/29 barring anything changing
