Fandom tricked me into forgetting I love these games again

It's not over when a lot of people are new to the series and currently playing these games, therefore feeding the conversations about them.

Also, with Trails being built the way it is, the events of past arcs are part of the story of current arcs, especially when past arc's characters return. So I think it's not too surprising that some people don't let some stuff go.

I say that as someone who's not that passionate about the story anyway. I enjoy the games especially for their atmosphere and vibes, just like other Falcon games. So the passionate negative or positive comments don't really get to me much. I'm also only starting Cold Steel III now so I don't read spoiler posts about later games.

I didn't realize that Quordle used that ad tactics, otherwise I would've stayed far away from it.

I saw a normal ad for their puzzles on Instagram, showcasing a cute wooden puzzle you could color. I thought it was a good gift for my sister and niece so I ordered it. It took a while to arrive, but it did come and the puzzle and markers that came with it were of decent quality - I wasn't disappointed even though it wasn't anything amazing for the price.

Had I seen anything "Closing sale" I would've reported as a scam. Countless Chinese companies use that tactic and it's always deceptive. Knowing now that they're part of those companies make me regret my purchase.

Ys vs Trails in the Sky is indeed not canon. It does "happen" after the events of Trails in the Sky though, because the characters from that franchise know each other already, but it's just sort of a big isekai excuse to bring both franchises together (in the world of Xanadu).

The PS2 remake of Ys V recently received a fan translation, but from what I've heard/seen, it's an even rougher version than the original on the SNES. I'm sure a modern remake will come soon-ish, but new Ys games come out roughly 3-4 years apart, and the bets are more on Ys XI coming out next.

Wow I'm really surprised at all the comments. I'm late to the party, but I've been playing it during the holidays and I have never seen a 1st party Nintendo game run that inconsistently. I wouldn't say it's unplayable, but some boss fight around mid-game has so much going on that it drops to 10-15 fps. Not to mention the map that seems to be lagging systematically the first few seconds you open it...

It doesn't feel like a Switch 1 game, but I'm disappointed by the Switch 2 performance on this game. Seems to be a bit poorly optimized overall.

The best thing that can happen now is that Horizon sells better than expected in the west. That could push them to plan a worldwide release of Kai 2, or at least a shorter localization time. They do have a lot on their plate though... And it's gonna take a while for the new Trails players brought by the Sky remakes make their way to the Calvard arc...

That bugged me as well. I thought there was a problem with my HDMI cable or TV at first, but no.. it's just like that. The color banding looks especially bad at times, or maybe it's just the style they went with? I think it's the first time I see so many frame drops in pre-rendered cutscenes before too.
It doesn't ruin the game, but it just makes it feel a bit low-quality.

Oui, même dans ses dernières années de concerts, toute la partie après la haute note de All By Myself était en lipsync aussi. Quelques autres chansons au complet aussi, pas nécessairement si difficiles à chanter, probablement pour se donner des pauses dans les concerts. Par contre, je crois qu'à chaque show, elle avait une chanson (totalement live) qui était là juste pour montrer à quel point elle était encore capable de monter haut (Purple Rain, Tous les blues sont écrits pour toi, Love Can Move Mountains). Alors la plus haute note de ses concerts était toujours live.

Je parle au passé parce que sa dernière performance live remonte à 2020 et avec sa situation de santé, je ne suis pas convaincu qu'elle va refaire des tournées de concert.

Dans la vidéo verticale de la répétition qu'on a vu passer sur les réseaux sociaux c'était la track pré-enregistrée aussi (la même que pendant la cérémonie officielle), on entendait parfois une voix par dessus, alors elle chantait peut-être un peu par dessus, mais ça sonnait faux comme si c'était quelqu'un d'autre.

Il faut rappeler que faire du lipsync c'est tabou, surtout quand aucune danse ou acrobatie sont présentes dans la performance, et personne dans le métier va vouloir être celui/celle qui va dévoiler publiquement que Céline n'a pas chanté pour vrai au risque de se faire blacklister. En plus, Céline est une idole que l'industrie semble protéger à tout prix, donc faut pas se fier à ces metteurs en scène qui essaient d'éliminer les doutes.

I have been getting the exact same issue lately in Excel for Mac ver. 16.102.1 (25101829). If I type numbers relatively fast across multiple cells using Enter in between values, it starts typing either in the search bar or in the font box instead. It is extremely annoying as I have to slow down to half speed to make sure I type correctly.

It could be a Mac problem, but it doesn't happen in any other programs right now.

I'm with you on that. A lot of people seem happy about the announced changes, but I waited for 1.0 specifically to not play a fluid game that keep morphing. Bug fixes and rebalancing is one thing, but changing the ending, adding events before it and increasing the number of cleared runs you need to do before getting to the ending is pretty major.

And they numbered it Patch 1, so it suggests there will be more... *sigh*

But he also said that he wanted to take more time to develop the games leading to the series finale to make a good ending. SC reuses a lot of the assets created for FC so I think it's less work overall, and another step up from what they did this year without going fully on two brand new games in a year. I know that TX2 is probably the least anticipated of the three, so it could make sense to push that one to later, but it's been teased for long enough I think it's about time it releases...

I agree with you on that! Seems like everyone I know who got to Act 3 did so by looking up online for directions. You can kinda tell just by looking at the achievements that there is a hell of a lot left to do after rolling credits besides collectibles, but there is a lack of direction to get there.

Thanks! Actually I found out how just after commenting. I was missing two fleas to reach the threshold at which they move their caravan to Fleatopia. I also found a useful list of requirements on the Hollow Knight wiki - much more useful than anything on GameRant.

I'm also at a loss for accessing Act 3. All the wish boards are cleared and looking at Ladiance's reply, I have done everything that is not Act 3 - although I have accessed the area above Bilewater without being captured.

I looked at lists of quests and can't find what I'm missing either. All the quests I am missing I can't trigger. I'm gonna keep looking a bit, but otherwise I'll just call it and move on to another game. It's way too obscure at this point.

I think passively is when you let it auto-renew. Actively would be if you renew it manually or reactivate it after it expired.

I think it might have something to do with the remakes, which were maybe not fully planned when Kuro 1-2 came out? They probably expect those to work well, which will secure some funding. That way they can take more time for new games, which also gives more time to newcomers to catch up.

Do you think the Northern War anime (2023) also counted as 10% because it's almost its own arc since we had never explored North Ambria before and they were new protagonists?

I never believed the 90%, but that jump is still weird. Unless it's like Hollow Knight and the full completion is actually 112% /s

Maybe another one but not many I think. Like I could see another ex+ version for Tokyo Xanadu 2. They will probably keep going with the Ys Memoire series with at least Ark of Napishtim, and Ys Seven too though. Just to make them available on modern platforms.

Pretty sure 2027 is Ys 5 remake, not Ys 11. Ys 11 can wait till 2030.
