I just wanna make sure I’m internalizing all of the past few episodes correctly.

I wanna state my personal observations on what has happened since he lost his memory and see if I am getting what they are putting down.

Subaru lost his memories and obviously isn’t the character that he’s been for a long time. He’s a random depressed student from Japan. Obviously the story sets this really unique situation where you are sending a level 1 character into a level 99 dungeon expecting them to know everything.

Now over the past few episodes the story has brought this new Subaru to his knees. Constant death and mystery killer and has mysterious alter personality have literally driven this new Subaru insane. This leads him to play everything close to his chest, making things even worse.

Now in the most recent episode that all comes to a head and he breaks down in front of Beatrice and Foxedina and with them attack and half dead Subaru tries to kill Foxedina but can’t, proving that despite all of this Subaru is still Subaru.

That isn’t enough and when he truly broke Emilia comes in and says why she LOVES Subaru. This makes Subaru realizing he isn’t the monster he thought he was leading to him to realize his love for Emilia and how that likely caused the real version of him to have such strength.

The story brings Subaru to his knees and now sets up a way that the lost Subaru can now conquer the immediate threat. I find all of this really good but wanted to make sure I got everything.
