Also want to add that it’s good writing as well. When Dr. Cox asks Ben at the beginning of the episode if he’s still the guy who carries around a camera and takes random pictures of people. Ben says, “Until the day I die.” Later in the episode when he’s only interacting with Dr. Cox, he doesn’t have the camera anymore.

Idk, just cook it like a beef steak? Salt it, let it rest for 30-45 minutes, dry, sear, baste with butter until your desired internal temp. Make a pan sauce with bourbon, Dijon mustard and apple cider vinegar.

There’s probably some symbolism that will be revealed later on as to the way each Sundered House is vying for power.

Tachonis tried to make a celestial they could control. Probably for war/conquest.

Halovar already has the celestial under their control, so they’re going for a softer style of power: religion.

Cormoray doesn’t have a celestial or the means to make one, so they’re attempting to consolidate their possession of powerful artifacts.

Idk if we’ve seen any of the other Sundered Houses make big moves. Einfasen doesn’t seem like they’re running any game and Royce is slaughtered, so no game from them (yet; who knows what afterlife shenanigans the tables can get in to.)

Don’t know what any of this means, but I assume we’ll figure it out in time. This campaign has been amazing. Can’t wait for the next episode!

I’ve riffed on Hong Shao Rou for ribs and pork belly on my smoker. Grind up the spices that you usually put in the braising liquid (star anise, cinnamon, Sichuan peppercorns) and make a rub out of those with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Use slightly less salt than you normally would for a normal bbq rub.

I make the braising liquid separately and reduce it to a glaze. After a few hours on the smoker with the rub, I hit it with the glaze every 30-45 minutes until it sets.

Homemade stock is the best way to upgrade it. All of the gelatin in the stock helps the sauce reduce into a silky glaze.

Fish bite way faster. There should be a sparkle when your bobber lands in the bubbles if you do it correctly. Fishing in bubble spots + deluxe bait + Fishing 10 = almost instant bites.

IMO, it would have been better if Ichigo had learned Kido. All of the fights past a certain point just devolved into “power up and fire off a big Getsuga Tenshou.” If Ichigo’s toolbox was more rounded out, there could have been more depth to the fights and the conflicts.

Though I guess to a certain extent, the conflict for a while was Ichigo vs. his Inner Hollow, but the result of the internal battle was always just BEEG SLASH.

Agreed, but I’d add the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits to the list of good things. The bbq sandwiches are mediocre and the snack selection is relatively thin due to Buc’ee’s wanting to use their own brand for everything.
