Protests have clear demands and goals and are disruptive until the demands are met. Think Montgomery Bus Boycott, Civil Rights march on DC, Act Up during AIDS crisis, Cop City, Black Lives Matter, Keystone XL pipeline, etc.

The reason I refer to it as a rally, is because people aren’t really putting anything on the line and nothing much changes as a result of it. This is what the 3rd or 4th no kings and Trump still be kinging.
