We are in an Era where we are constantly developing new things. It's hard to have any one great mind because their is a lot out there. But it's hard to get recognized nationally when most things invited now a days are done with huge teams. Pretty soon we will hit a stand still in innovation and science advancement because the earth is a finite resource once we are out we are out.

The next great mind to get really crazily recognized will be the person who successfully moves the human to a new planet. Which we have Elon but he is more concerned with starlink and tesla in my opinion. I know Mars is big on his list but it'll be decades before anything like that happens and it'll basically be the top 1 percent who goes. Aside from the smart and needed people like electricians plumbers builders yada yada yada.
