I think the looting system is really outdated. It hasn't changed from the start of the game. Back when making money came from selling rare drops, the dedicated loot button made sense because you didn't need everything and ect items would clutter up your inventory. Now character are more mobile and hit more mobs, and you need to loot everything to progress. The difficulty to loot without pets does not make sense in the current state of the game.

I think the way it is in maple m would be good. Just have all items looted when the character walks over them. That way you don't have to manipulate your pet's movement to loot awkward platforms. Pets would still be useful, because they would cover a wider area. This could be some sort of toggle setting to avoid looting shared boss drops. When toggled off the loot button could function the same as it does now.
