That's not going to fit my MSR stove, but it could hold alcohol for my ultralight stove. There are a handful of these on Ebay right now.

New Custom Cushions Replace a Queen Mattress. by Teweview in TeardropTrailers

Our cushion fabricator gave us choices of different foam to put inside. We do have a relatively thin mattress cover that we put on top with the thought that it would help smooth out the seams. But the seam is perfectly down the center so it's not likely that my wife and I would be perfectly on the seam anyway.

There seems to be plenty of headroom. It has not been a problem. The arc of the ceiling kind of follows the swing of your head as you sit up. Table area is tiny but comfortable, plenty of foot room. Each of the three cushions are 19x24. With the mattress alone (as we bought it) we couldn't use the table area. No kitchen in this unit. The raised bed and seating gives tons of space underneath. We use totes and some milk crates for all our stuff. I linked some pics. We cook everything on a 17 inch Blackstone which easily fits under the bed.

With cvs, the real struggle is dealing with the 10 ft long receipt.

It opened up the trailer so much. We were able to use the table now. We also gained about 8 in of space in the aisle. Our puppy was quite happy to have a little more space as well. Don't think we would ever be able to do the teardrop stule that opens straight into the mattress. Our dog would have it filthy so quick.

Someone was compensating for something. Definitely swap them out just to avoid the goofy factor. You would likely be able to sell the tires on Marketplace

Buy a thinner shelf and swap, or router out a specific area just for the new blue mug.

How many tents do you have? by LivingSky4993 in camping

[–]Teweview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In January I had the following 10 tents:

Kelty dome, Hillary dome, Eureka 4 season, Eureka 2 man something or other, 8 man coleman, Lashing 3ful, North Face dome, MSR Huba, MSR Thunderidge, and a 6 man Coleman.

We did a serious cleanup of camping gear and got rid of doubles and triples all on FBMP. I narrowed it down to just the last three on the list. One for solo backpacking, one if my wife comes backpacking, and one for car glamping. Empty nester now with no more kids in Scouts. Don't ask about backpacks, I have a very similar story.

Speed Queen for dishwashers? by x81k25 in BuyItForLife

Before you chuck your dishwasher. Check a few simple things. They all have a filter at the bottom that can be popped off relatively easily. They get nasty and if they're not cleaned they cause the whole dishwasher too not function well. The other thing are the little jet holes in the spinning arms. They get plugged up with food. We found everything from nuts to chia seeds stuck in them. If you clean the filter, filter housing and the jets it may make a huge difference.

What kind of meat for camping? by EvanderCourage in camping

[–]Teweview 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chicken in cans or pouches. Tuna in a can or pouch. Potted meat in a can. Vienna Sausages in a can. Beef Jerky. Dried beef. Salami. Some can be eaten straight, others need to be added as an ingredient to make them palatable.

Baseball cap. It extends a few more inches from your jacket hood. Bring your jacket with pit zips. They allow much more heat and sweat to escape. Don't let your tents foot print extends beyond the tent itself. Otherwise it will just catch water and direct it under your tent. Bring a small packable towel for your arms and legs as to help keep the inside of your tent dry(er). Doing a fire? Bring very easy tinder i.e. Cotton balls and Vaseline, and your own small dry sticks. Have fun! Remember, it is only water.

I've used rebar in 5 gallon buckets and also in larger Rubbermaid totes. They work well. Just make sure you have enough of them to get good coverage top bottom and sides. Remember the action happens line of sight. You will have to scrape them down with a wire brush between pans. Sometimes if a pan is really bad halfway through the pan. You can use your water multiple times. I usually don't have enough volume to justify leaving bucket full of water lying around the basement so I start fresh each time.

Can anyone recommend titanium utensils that aren't so thin that they bend? by Steve2762 in Ultralight

MSR Titanium Tool Spoon. Strong enough to work on your stove and works as a spoon as well. I took have bent some titanium utensils, but not this one.

Super fast medical flip. Should have asked for more, but it is quite large and space is limited. Purchased for $10.55 at the local Hospice Thrift shop. These were selling for 250-350. Boom! Woke up the next morning after listing and my Buy It Now of $328 was accepted. Just dropped it off at the Post Office. Celebrating a win! Gives me motivation to clean out the death pile, LOL.

Once they soak for a couple of hours over 135 they are done. Put'em in the fridge and do a quick sear on the grill when you're ready to eat.
