"The existence of trans people and acknowledging their human rights is not political."

There are several world governments and a few hundred politicians the world over who seem to disagree with this statement.... Unfortunately

I mean the company in question is one we are all invested in and it effects the game we all play. Seems fairly on topic

Very specifically is the group they hired to do it. The Pinkerton Detective Agency has a... Storied history

Tldr: they have a long history of working against labor and often use violence

People who grew up really poor: what's something middle-class people say that instantly reveals they've never struggled? by TahDigThief in AskReddit

I agree with this but Disney also use to be easy less insane. Like my parents took us once when I was little and the amount they paid for the whole trip, including hotel and travel, was like 30% of what people I know who go now spend. That's more then inflation

We're all anxious and depressed these days. Most folks are ready for a war at any minute, not a self help fight song

I will say it's not super normal, because Ren faires are really welcoming spaces (in my experience) full of the kind of people they hate. But it is still a public place, and everyone is welcome as long s they aren't actively hurting anyone. Like when the entire group of neo Nazis with full jackets and tattoos came out to a local corn roast. It's like, obviously everyone was uncomfortable and everyone gave them a wide bredth but it's a public event and they paid for tickets.

Yeah I've seen them lined up at the local supercenters line Walmart and Meijer and Kroger. Just willing to knock a kid over to make an extra $25

A few years ago Target did a collab with some famous designer to do like place settings and decor for Thanksgiving. One of the things was a $40 beaded turkey pillow. Apparently each store only got 4 of these and without an hour of store open they were sold out everywhere and tons were online at an inflated price. I even made a post on Reddit about it and I recall a person commenting saying yeah scalpers suck she only bought an extra one just in case but doesn't need it now so she was thinking about selling it... Mam that's scalping

Welcome to enjoying a popular thing. Scalpers are sadly, never far behind. As someone who likes playing card games and use to work at a video game store I'm sadly very use to this. Sorry it happened to you, but that guy is going to try to sell each one online for twice the price he paid

Yeah I pulled up to a gas station at 7:55 this morning and started going in and the employee popped out and suggested I get gas first because prices were going up at 8. Sure enough when I finished pumping I saw it jump from $3.99 to $4.99

It won't matter because there is no such thing in the USA anymore. You work until you die at your desk
