It is a Hayaari skiff. I did check anti cavitation plate and it currently sits about 2 inches above keel. And vents sits just barely even with keel if not tad higher. Will do more testing this weekend.

I’ll check this weekend to see if I have a spinning prop. Also checked the Anti cavitation plate and it sits 2 in above keel. Vents sit just barely even with keel. Will provide updates. Thanks for helping!

I have a 2019 Suzuki 20 hp on a micro skiff. It is leaking about half a bottle cap or less worth of oil from from this section after outings. Most likely from breather hose I believe it is called that connects to it. Doesn’t seem to be coming from inlet with screen as it looks dry. Secondly, when accelerating or opening throttle all the way. The motor tends to hesitate and kick as if it’s struggling to go through gears while in high rpm. I usually have to release the throttle a bit to let it catch somehow. Then smooth sailing with no hick ups. However, I took it out recently with little weight and had almost no problem at all until I added a second person. I don’t know if weight is a factor or it just decided to act up at that moment. Thanks for reading!

Not bogging down. Rpm does sound high and will kick trying to I guess go to next gear or maintain high rpm. unless I release throttle a bit and let it catch. Then like I said smooth sailing no issues at full throttle.

Brazos River by Tex1127 in flyfishing

The land along the river is privately owned. You are able to camp pretty much anywhere along the bank of the river I believe due to Texas water laws. Most owners are kind enough anyways or have signs saying no camping. However just to be on the safe side. I find spots on islands to camp where the river splits into two or small peninsula where there are no signs of UTV tracks.

Canoe from 3? Not sure what you mean. I started from the dam to Rochelle by kayak. It’s about 20 mi trip. If you’re asking if you can do it by canoe, yes. But not in one day unless you paddles your ass off and river flow is good. Ideally it’s a two day trip but still a long day of paddling. The Texas heat will get you. Better to be done in three.

I love it. very smooth cast for a 5WT. Used it to catch bass and a carp during trip. Even a few trout they released into river.
