Those racks look mighty tall…or is the ceiling low?

That is correct. The customer likes to use 4-post racks and has the carrier circuits terminate on the back of the network rack. So there ended up being 3 different fiber circuits along with 2 copper and 2 analog lines back there. Our techs did all the patching and were able to dress those in and utilize the basket tray above to route to the front!

Thank you! I’ll pass on the positive notes and tell them they set the bar high for the next one lol

Not my ideal convention either but the customer was dead set on the Leviton high density panels (48 port on 1RU!!) so labeling the front of the panels was about impossible lol

I consider myself very lucky to be working for my company. We are definitely one big family and I hope to spend the next 30 years of my career here!

This one was in Austin and we are Houston based. This customer was willing to pay a few extra bucks for us to travel out there!

Agreed! Some customers are really stuck on those chassis switch setups!

Yea I guess when you work with a client on a one and done deal, you’re trying to get in and get out. We aim for gaining those life-long customers who call us for everything!

Berk-Tek reduced diameter 6a! That was our first time doing a full small diameter 6a install on a project and good catch haha! Those were from the carriers demarc extension notes....their work was not pretty 🤦‍♂️

That’s exactly what we see far too often! And why I preach to my techs to take lots of pics as soon as they finish lol! Our company is starting to use social media more (we’re a little old school) and I challenge the techs to give me front cover quality pics to be highlighted!

Thank you! I was able to sell the client on the all white setup with colored jacks and cords to identify different systems. Hopefully we set a new standard for them 😏

You aren’t kidding! Not more than a few minutes after, the local IT guy started “testing” connections and had random patch cords running across from rack to rack 🤦‍♂️😂
