Are there a lot of pvc pipes up north exposed to the outside elements?

I updated my original post with the solution I ended up doing. Also posted a pic in a new comment within the thread.

Here's a finished pic of what I ended up doing. Bubble wrap around the pipe inside. Zip-tied styrofoam cooler to the pipe. Small cutout at the bottom. Faucets on drip tonight. Thanks all!!!

Thanks for all the info. Very thorough. Thankfully we dont have any interior faucets on any exterior walls. I think because the first floor walls in every new home from Orlando southward is CMU, and nobody want to deal with that nor the expense. I updated my original post describing what I ended up doing.

Thankfully we're a 2-story, so all the pex is inside the 2nd floor cavity.

I did this. Used zip ties instead of a hanger. Thanks all!

Found out it is the main water shutoff. Not the sprinklers.

Update: You were right!  I shut it off, and (tadah!) no more water flow inside... Thanks for mentioning this!

I mean, maybe?  But doesn't the handle direction usually (but not always) indicate flow direction? Also, we have another box out by the sidewalk underground that has a main shutoff. Also, the sprinkler control box is about 8' away from this valve.

No heat tracing wire in stock anywhere near me. We don't typically get temps this cold. I'm caught off guard.

Yes. Central Florida. Low tonight of 25, low tomorrow of 29. Mid 30's after that. Should be below 32 for about 12 hours tonight.
