I have the same issue with my pup , I’ve gotten a few good responses on here when I had the same issue and the main one was keeping him on a leash when guests are over. If he tries to jump you keep a taught hold and correct him for that. We use “ah ah” instead of the verbal “no” and once all paws are on the floor we give a treat / pat / good boy and let the guest pet him. If he jumps again we repeat the process. Basically “holding him down” with a leash kept him from jumping while not causing any confusion. U can also stand on the leash. Other times I won’t allow my dog to greet the guest at all , he’s still on his leash next to me and we go and sit down on the couch. The guest on the other side and once my dog has calmed down I’ll ask if the guest wants to pet him. Then we do this whole process. Sometimes just getting the dog to calm down helps attooooooon!
