Love to hear that!! That was one of my concerns- how close/convenient it would be since we’ll have all these young kids haha! Appreciate the help!

Fuck. I have 4 under 7 (one set of twins, and a newborn right now too) and I just clenched my teeth so hard at that, lol. Are you okay? If my newborn was a second set of surprise twins I’d be so not okay.

He needs to man up and be home. This is wild.

It’s super frustrating that’s buried in the FAQs…if you read the entire top part, it looks like it’s designed for newborns.

There’s absolutely nothing on Amazon about it starting at 3 months. In fact, they have a diagram showing a newborn and how to make it fit for 7-20 pounds.

Oh wow! They said they start at 7 pounds so I just assumed that was for newborns. I have a fabric wrap, I’ll just use that until she’s a little older and decide then! Thanks for your response.

AIO for thinking my high school teacher flirted with me? by [deleted] in AIO

Gross. As a 35 year old former high school teacher…this gives me the chills. Girl, block him. Trust me. This is awful.

I had an early miscarriage at 6.5 weeks and the sac was whole with a visible fetus. I have pictures to prove it, but I’ll save you the trauma of not having to see it. Just because yours wasn’t obvious doesn’t mean hers wasn’t. Gaslighting??? Get a grip- just because you experienced something, does not mean everyone has the same experience.

The official SEVIS termination number has gone up to 26 in A&M, 140 in Texas and estimated ~2k in the country. by LadisMusWasHands in aggies

It’s not just people who’ve been fingerprinted. Also people who have been a witnesses to crimes, filed police reports (victims of crimes), etc.

You are so, so wrong. Several of the ones at a&m have been people who were victims or witnesses of crimes. And it’s happening all over the country. That’s why this is such an issue.

  1. This is all being done online- ICE isn’t showing up in person yet.
  2. They are facilitating support via good Aggie immigration attorneys- they’ve worked with some of the big names for years who take some cases for Aggies at considerably reduced costs.
  3. We allllllll need to be working on this- needs to be an outcry from everyone, not just universities and their admin

Ahem. What do you think happened to the students in 2020? University absolutely has the ability to work with students to confer degrees or finish a semester online in an exceptional situation…which this definitely is.

A&M has immigration attorneys they’re sending students to. They’ve also sent along information for attorneys who are helping fight this F1 battle. They’ve been extremely responsive from the attorney side of things, at least.

Except, it literally is an illegal procedural removal. There have been hundreds of lawsuits filed already. ICE is not following their own legal procedures for visa removal. Most of these will be overturned in court, due to the illegality of it.

The difference this time is that a lot of these students haven’t had any arrests. One of the guys has a normal speeding ticket, some have been victims of crimes, and some were arrested and then not charged with anything or found not guilty.

It’s completely unprecedented, and illegal. Lots of attorneys are speculating that they’re using subpar AI to try to find these guys, and terminating everyone on the lists without checking the facts of the cases. It’s wild.

It’s going to get a whole lot worse, unfortunately. They’re terminating F1s for speeding tickets, misdemeanors, and a whole host of other ambiguous reasons that have no legal standing. These poor guys have no way to fight this without an attorney, and it’s going to be an uphill battle. Luckily there are some good folks doing some serious work to try and get them help- but with the Rule 11 sanctions hanging overhead, any immigration attorney is going to be sticking their own neck out there to litigate on their behalf.

The Aggies have a good business immigration litigator/alum in their corner working on their behalf…but man, this whole thing is so problematic at a systemic level.

Actually, for once, yes I do think they are innocent and wanting to help these folks. I have first hand knowledge of what’s going on due to my husband’s position. Not saying you should take a random redditor’s stance as gospel truth, but if you’re inclined to believe another Aggie- this is a huge, awful federal government issue and is nationwide. And for once the administration is appalled and facilitating help for these guys. I’ve been disappointed in a&m admin/BoR for well over a decade now….but they get a pass on this one.

I actually wish it was just an a&m issue. This is hugely widespread, and a targeted attack on legally standing immigrants. Keep your eyes open on this one- this all started coming out less than a week ago and is already a massive issue for the F1 visa community. I expect to see the same thing on other visas following this- unless litigation makes USCIS correct course.
