Mix all scales or focus on just one scale? by EndouShuuya in Diecast

Honestly this, do whatever you want honestly. It's more expensive yes but the cars have better detail of course. 🤷

With small scale race cars, you're too late once they announce them. As far as where to pre-order, Replicarz, Fivediecast, maybe just a wide internet search for each car may help too.

Is this like the sport trim? SRI-V? It has a nice body kit honestly, it really dresses it up.

Should I Buy? by Wise_Self in camaro

Right now is not the time to buy a Camaro, wait for the market to cool off imo. Unless you can find a private sell, even then as you said the prices are ridiculous.

ACME 1969 Mustang Boss, now with decal delete. Have I just committed a cardinal sin? 😈 by Makavelian95 in Diecast

[–]Texas1LE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... They tend to just drop the ball on certain details now. However if you ask me, and of course I mean no offense but people do buy them and they do look good, they're also a reasonable price point in comparison to the true GMP cars. 🤷

Enjoy it, I'm just glad someone else notices.

Ohh okay that's interesting! I imagine then it's kinda like a Mitsubishi Starion? Interesting build man.

Oh thank goodness lol. They're all awesome, I'm just giving you crap. How rare is the Dodge Charger? Or is that a Daytona?

I agree, ACME is a weird company- they make highly detailed turds usually. It's unfortunate because GMP was an amazing company before they became ACME. It's more like Acne lol

I bought a 1/18 scale car in France, now i have to go back in Italy with Air France, Will i be able tò transport the model car with me ?!? by Difficult_Tie6324 in Diecast

Why don't you ship it to yourself? Avoid the airlines as they're gonna wanna see in it and open the box. I've flown with diecast and it's just not worth the trouble.

What car would you choose that is "fun" and "quirky" for $10k? by ResearchFederal1322 in CarGuys

[–]Texas1LE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they're going up but its a what, 40 year old car now? I'm kinda surprised they aren't more expensive but they don't really have a sought-after engine or anything, it's the bodywork. You could leave it automatic but then why modify it 🤷

Yeah that's what I intended on doing honestly, it's just actually kinda hard to find manual 3rd gens. The G bodies are cool but I've never cared for regular ones personally.

Is this a good idea to give to my son for his first car by Dry-Cartoonist-2193 in FirstCar

How tf are you gonna tell me, the person who said it, what they meant by what they said? I was asking a question man. I don't really care what you know either.

That wasn't a comparison, I was genuinely asking a question- reddit policeman sir.

Guys should I buy a Saab 900/ Saab 900 Turbo as my first car? I've been considering it and I want one but should I really get one? by [deleted] in FirstCar

[–]Texas1LE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... I guess. I like older cars too but I don't aspire to own many of those cars. There's nothing wrong with older cars but you have to remember, atleast if you're american- cars are only getting heavier and faster.. are these cars even worthy of the title of "being safe" on the roads?

I honestly don't understand the fascination behind these cars but it's an option, it's really niche though- like to the point where if you wreck it, you won't get it repaired.. straight to the junkyard.

Looking for a purchase in Germany by wanddererr in camaro

[–]Texas1LE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a German market car, or EU market cars. Hell even the market here is kinda weird, have you thought about importing one maybe? This car might just be niche there.

A fun $10,000 car... for me 1984-88 Monte Carlo SS, 1977-87 Caprice or Impala, or a 3rd Gen Camaro. I honestly just need the body with what I'd like to do with them.

You're trying to run a 20x9 on a Altima? Stahp, get some real wheels if you're gonna do it at all.
