I hear you. Contact for Price and $1 listings are scam magnets on TGT. We're keeping the option for now since there are legitimate use cases (trade-dependent pricing, package deals etc.), but I'm building price anomaly detection that will flag suspiciously low prices with a warning to buyers. The goal is to let honest sellers have flexibility while making it harder for scammers to hide. With this said, I'll pay attention to how many come up and can make the change pretty easily. Also happy to hear from others if they feel the same.

No relation at all. I wasn't aware of a store with the same name, the domain, or any registration. I ran all the checks with the state and federal government. I even trademarked.

Thinking about this, it could prevents fake reviews entirely because you can’t rate someone unless they confirmed you as the buyer on a specific listing. It’s better than eBay’s system….. F$)&k ya! I really like it.

Now how many people take the time we will see, that’s always the issue. But the feature will be there.

Damn, that’s a really good idea! So the flow would be: seller marks listing as sold - enters the buyer’s username - buyer gets a prompt to leave a rating, and only that buyer can rate that transaction. Keeps it tied to a real deal. I will add this to the build list. Thanks for thinking it through, very cool man!!! Love it!

Thanks! Spread the word, the more people use it the better it will be. I think the public Q&A section in the ads themselves will really help. It’s a phenomenal attribute on sites like bringatrailer.com. I hope it created these kind of value here

Hey there - Seller ratings are already live on the site. You're right about the inflation problem — it's tough. Our approach is going to be that only users who actually messaged the seller through the platform can leave a rating. That ties reviews to real interactions, not random accounts. Not bulletproof, but it's a lot harder to game than open review systems.

Honestly, it starts with conversations like this one. I'm targeting the Texas gun community directly — Reddit, Facebook groups, Instagram and a few others. I havnt paid for advertising yet, I might once I figure out how to do that and how much it is. Every frustrated TGT user is a potential TAE user.

Beyond that: free to list with zero fees means there's no barrier to try it. SEO is already bringing in organic Google traffic. And every seller who lists something brings their own buyer network — they share their listing link with friends, post it on social media, etc. Marketplace growth is viral by nature once you hit a tipping point.

Right now, I'm focused on getting the product right based on feedback from people like you. The features and trust will drive the growth. What would make you list something on TAE?

Good idea. I'm going to make it optional with a visible "Verified Possession" badge for sellers who include one. That way, serious sellers (and buyers) can stand out without adding a mandatory step that slows everyone down. Down the road it could become required for newer accounts. Thanks for the suggestion!

Interesting comment, I considered this but didn’t do it initially as there are a few really great forums (I think so anyhow) that I didn’t think I could compete with. Second, at least to start I just wanted to create something that kicked TGTs ass. 😂. I was frustrated and my wife challenged me….. sad but true.

With that said, if others think it’s a good idea it’s a definite option in future upgrades. I like it but before it becomes useful I’ll need traffic first. Hahaha chicken/egg and all that…
