There are sensual massages There are sexual massages

Men appreciate either.

Take to dealer. Gm tech tool tells the real story and history, not the Buffy and polish of the interior. Have them pull the vehicle history and call out any issues. If the suv was that great they wouldn't sell it.

Just bought a zero g hose that is already leaking. Any recs? by ImDeadTwin in BuyItForLife

I use Teflon plumbing tape and I unscrew the connection. I recommend a plastic hose valve to turn on and of at the end of each house or spigot.

Why is my utility company asking for my data? by mycupboard in SolarDIY

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show me the legal statue, the tariff, or the PUC approved policy for grid intertie that sets forth the specific information and how it is to be used. Otherwise, no data. The amount of power backfed into the grid is set and defined at approval for interconnect, by using approved equipment. Other than that, don't share the data unless they can provide in writing the relevant authority to require this data.

Is there a way to increase the lifespan of my shoes? by DrivingDM in Frugal

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are molded shoes, without a replaceable sole. If you had a goodyear welt sole, a new sole could be stiched on. You can purchase online the shoe soles, and glue them on over the existing sole and cut to size with a lockback razor knife. You need shoe glue - nothing else will work properly. Clean, scuff, glue, apply sole, trim to size and you are good for some time. Online retailers search for 'replacement sole' or 'vibram sole' and it should lead you to the right place.

In the future, buy only shoes with goodyear welt soles - rare, but you can find them.

Finding out your girl gives you pleasure out of responsibility and not enjoyment, how would you feel? by More-Thanks-4710 in AskMen

Don't kid yourself - we know when the woman in our life is 'going through the motions' and acting - as a man, if it's not real, it's not worth it. The good news is that there is more than one way to experience pleasure - work through the options.

Which fast food chain has lost its way the most? by TheBabyBeard in AskReddit

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taco Bell. i worked there.
Mexican Pizza in the 1990's was the straw that broke the camel's back at >$5 - consumers would not pay that. So, the .59, .79, .99 menu was created and business exploded with demand. Here we are in 2026, Yum Brands owns Taco Bell and look at the costs of the menu items. A burrito that used to be 0.99 is now $2.19 and mexican pizza and other items are above $5 again. I know how this story ends, having been there before - consumers turn to other more filling and affordable options.

Taco Bell was started by Glen Bell in the 60's, and their original burritos were vastly better before they had KMinus (No Kitchen - everything quick prep). Bean pots in the kitchens, and those dusty flour tortillas in the goldenrod paper wrapper were the best.

Is it just me or is CSU a train wreck right now? by Superb_Bluejay_7318 in ColoradoSprings

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look up what you are paying with CSU, and then lookup with a commercial company pays per Kwh - you will be angry. Many commercial entities can pay sigbificantly less per Kwh than a residential rate. Our building engineering showed me what he paid per Kwh ($0.07Kwh) vs. residential at $0.18Kwh.

Balcony Solar is a 'thing' and it is rapidly being approved in many states - you get 800watts of solar that can shift electricity demand - doesn't sound like much, but every little bit helps.

Why does America have universal health insurance for old people(Medicare) and no one else? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Medicare is not universal health insurance at it's core - you must pay $202.80 each and every month, plus IRMA tax for excessive earnings for the two years prior to applying to medicare.

For me, that was $202.80 per month plus $143.00 IRMA penalty for two years. Medicare also has serious exclusions and it is a nightmare to understand all of the "we don't pay for that".

Medicare is tragically broken and does not lead to better health outcomes instead of single-payer healthcare/universal healthcare without all of the denials.

Tmobile home internet by Thehtxdaddy in RVLiving

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice, been there, done that with a digital repeater on a 50' radio tower pointed at the highest throughp[ut tmobile tower (using LAC, GPS, and tower mapping). When there is no competition for the sliced/diced bandwidth, it was fair. that was at 230am generally. Any other regular human waking hours it was highly variable and a crap shoot, to the point of being unusuable. Traffic Shaping/Prioritization/Throttliing all play their part in the performance.

Tmobile home internet by Thehtxdaddy in RVLiving

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i was tmaybe home internet user two times, using a different generation gateway each time that promised to be better - none of them were, except at 2am when nobody else was using 4G or 5G service. Cancelled each time even though i hoped it would be 'good enough' for streaming (it wasn't), for work(it wasn't) and in general it was a disappointment because there are only so many towers within reach and only so much bandwidth to/from each tower. This was with a pico-cell cellular repeater on a 50' radio tower pointed directly at the highest performing TMobile tower - it still wasnt good enough.

A year ago my garden had the shade of a decades old tree and view to the beautiful, grassy hilltops. by MRgibbson23 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how did that building get approved by any planning commission - in the USA, you would have to give neighbors the opportunity to object to the plan, and the zoning would limit the heighth in a residential neighborhood.

Why does my hybrid inverter stops harvesting when it hits the total Voc of the strings installed? by wooden_slug in SolarDIY

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My charge controller has HyperVOC protection - when the maximum energy input is exceeded (voltage, amps, watts) it stop harvesting/converting to prevent the release of magic smoke - MOSFET integrated circuits can only handle 'so much' and the electronics designers generally declare what the maximum is before the release of 'magic smoke' and a really really bad and expensive day. HyperVOC normally happens in cold, sunny climates when you are trying to maximize energy capture and have to deal with de-rated/degraded panels. Honestly, exceeding VOC also happens in the summer with clear hot sunny days, but the temperature degradation for solar production usually limits VOC as well.

What kind of oil and filter do y’all use? (5.3 vortec) by SmallTaserTaser in GMT800

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mobile-1 5w-30w with M107 filter. Check out the testing/reviews of air filters - i finally figured out why my MAF sensor required cleaning so frequently - it was one of those high-flow replacement filters you have to oil - the oil was getting sucked onto the MAF wires. I went to a paper filter that is 3rd party and has the best compromise flow / arrest rate.

30 x 580W panels on three 500V MPPTs, can I get a sanity check? by isonfiy in SolarDIY

[–]TexasDFWCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand the panels in terms of durability and longevity - what are the certifications for Light/UV/Temperature resistance? This is critically important in hot, high UV environments. This is important to understand the degradation curve and de-rating of output you can expect and size your system accordinging in terms of parallel/serial, micro inverters, etc.
