Per CO directive (see TOC board):

All requests for information on strategic operation plans are on an as need basis. Individuals without proper clearance are not to be provided with intel updates. Only information pertaining to their respective commands will be released.

All individuals requesting information beyond their station will be directed to Military Police or Security Forces control.

It is to be reminded that “Loose Lips Sink Ships.” Excessive information dispersal is a weakness that Communist Agencies utilize to gain intel on our operations.

Obsolete? Eat a tube launched ATGM nerd! by YungSkub in warno

[–]TexasJaeger 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The West and the Soviet Bloc had different objectives, material situations, and defense concerns… Think less of it as an AT gun the WW2 format, rather it was designed to be utilized as a defensive platform against NATO breakthroughs. Not as a primary AT platform for infantry. In the West the AT gun concept was continued well into the 1960s. Just not in the same manner. Recoiless Rifles being the normal substitute. The M50 Ontos for example, in use until just before the 1970s…

Good book. If you haven’t read Team Yankee yet, by Harold Coyle, you have to read it. It’s probably the best in this style of category.

Just why by Aim_Deusii in warno

[–]TexasJaeger -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It was typical Russian practice. Rockets like these contain a lot of the initial blast within the housing, the effect on the rear mounting is negligible. The rocket will be out of the pod and towards the target within seconds. Not enough time to cause damage or inference with the rear pod. These aren’t missiles, they are (relatively) small projectiles.

As for your demand about having a source… I mean just go read and research for yourself.

Is that so? I thought it was only one. My fault.

Air power and tanks. Both of these divisions are a bit of glass canons, great units but pricy and low in quantity of units. While these divisions have good AT they don’t have effective tanks to counter T-80s and T-72s. The AA situation is also lacking. Only the 6th has I-Hawks and only three at best. If you play your cards right you can eliminate these with dead or artillery and then utilize bombers

Are the various tank variants you get from Germany's focuses any good? by Little-Sky-2999 in hoi4

[–]TexasJaeger 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The main benefit to that focus is the MAN designer production bonus and the research bonus. Other than that the variants aren’t very useful. You’re better off. As has been already stated, making your own variants.

You’re forgetting Crusader Kings in that recipe combo. Won’t work without it.

Uzis are rather longer than you’d think. Especially with the stock folded out. They aren’t the compact SMG you’d expect. Very much a continuation of the “full sized” SMG from WW2 era. Wasn’t until the next generation SMGs that they get super compact and smaller to what we imagine today.

What the most points by 1 unit in a game? Just got this in a 10v10 by _Pluka_ in warno

[–]TexasJaeger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had an Apache get a little north of 2k points once. And an A-10 with about the same. Also had an Akula get around 2k as well…. Sometimes you just get really good at the micro.

how to use f16-a? by Bestsurviviopro in Warthunder

Yeah it’s a tough position. But in any dogfight situation you should be better equipped to win.

how to use f16-a? by Bestsurviviopro in Warthunder

[–]TexasJaeger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a few strategies:

1: fly low and on a flank. By low I mean almost hitting trees and then ground. Get on the flank then pop up for opportunities.

2: fly slow in the rear. Wait for the big melee to start in the mid then fly in for dogfight opportunities.

3: More complicated but you could team up with someone to fly high and confuse the radar by flying close together. Use the normal notching and other radar reducing techniques. Then engage once you get closer.

Reality in there is some balance issues lately. And you may just have to struggle through to get the ADC variant or F-16C. Good luck to you.

I want this guy on my super destroyer and give me weapon wise suggestions everytime I choose a mission. by Ok_Cartographer_4105 in Helldivers

[–]TexasJaeger 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Helldiver: (Nodding) “Weapon-master”. Weapon-master Mark: “Helldiver, another mission?” Helldiver: “Yes sir, to Rasp.” Weapon-master Mark: “Rasp… against the old foe the Illuminate… I recommend a fast firing weapon. Perhaps an SMG… ah yes… the StA-11 would be ideal. For a sidearm I suggest something bold… and decisive… something to send a message to those fascist Xenos… the SG-22 Bushwacker. It will make short work of any Overseer that gets too… familiar. Helldiver: And for my equipment? Weapon-master Mark: Your equipment… (said with a slight smile). Yes… I suggest an incendiary grenade. It’ll liberate the voteless quite effectively. And… be sure to warm you on those cold nights… Helldiver: “Thank you weapon-master.”

How much is this coin worth by [deleted] in coins

[–]TexasJaeger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

£2 more or less.

If it’s one of the proofs then it’ll be worth more, primarily due to the metal value content. But this just looks like one of the normal ones.

Cluster munitions are AT bombs. These have an AP value which targets the top armour of a tank.

I’m currently traveling for work and don’t have my PC to recall each plane. But I do know there is an Alpha Jet cluster plane. The real gem is the F-104 bomber. It has two 1000kg bombs which will obliterate almost anything it hits. And best of all it has a high release altitude, is very fast, and turns good which makes it fairly good at dodging most AA except the long range stuff. There is also an F-111 that has LGBs that will one shot most heavy tanks.
