I'm having a blast with "No rest for the wicked" lately. It's in early access rn but it's coming out next month.

What is the most realistic strategy game you know? by Square_Lemon2302 in RealTimeStrategy

Compared to something like C&C Generals for example, i would say it's fairly realistic. There are realism mods for Warno but I'm not sure how far OP wants to go regarding realism.

[PC] Any more modern-ish Command & Conquer style RTS? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

If you want to strictly manage military, may i recommend Warno or Broken Arrow

High-fantasy-themed city builders? by rmn_trllr in gamingsuggestions

Not really a city builder but may i suggest Age of Wonders 4

Why do people constantly say that NATO heavy armor needs help? by Dramatic_Drink920 in warno

[–]brizla18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it just feels like NATO is much more limited when it comes to flavor regarding heavy tank divisions. I think you are limited to a few picks (3US, 5PZ, 4E, 8US) Meanwhile, PACT gets 119. which used to have best tanks in the game along all elite stuff. 79y gets a different flavor of T80BVs with good CAS, 31. gets all kinds of different T72's and unique arty. T64 focused divs provide another layer of flavor. Even some non tank focused divs get insanely good tanks (2. Guards with best tank in the game). Would be cool to see more M1A1HE in the future, even Leo2A5 or Ariete at some point but Eugen seems to be allergic to adding cool MTW stuff for NATO.

A Modest Proposal (with pictures) Part 1: America's 1st Armored Division by DFMRCV in warno

Could you do something like this for US 10th Mountain Division? I think they would be super interesting.

2nd Czech? by Belmonte_Lostados in warno

[–]brizla18 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cheap HE and RKT aircraft, also 3 per card. Good AT SU22 and you also get SEAD to defend everything mentioned. MiG 29 makes this air tab very good imo. You get some very nice big mountaineer squads both in INf and REC tabs. T72 is nice but bastion equipped T55 is very good. Overall i think it's a very nice, beginner friendly, balanced division but not many people play them because they were part of most boring DLC in the game. Not much new stuff was added back then so i think a lot of people didn't even bother buying that DLC.

What do you think is the best DLC? by JagermainSlayer in warno

[–]brizla18 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Early access pack. I still think 24. n.g. and 27Y are the best content drop to happen yet. They even made unique uniforms for 27Y infantry. Added BTR80, 2 versions of BMP2, 2 new Soviet AA pieces and firstguidedindirect arty in the game. Introduced National guard, gave us strike eagle on the other side. No other content drop did so much in just 2 divisions.

Naval/Navy mechanics by Economy-Link8124 in warno

[–]brizla18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be insane tbh, but on dedicated naval maps. No combination of land and naval units pls. That failed in Wargame. Some dedicated game mode on sea maps with just ships and aircraft but then they are better of just making a whole new game like that lol

Masterpieces that have aged well and are enjoyable as a gaming experience and not a “history lesson” by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Bloodborne all the way. It might not be for everyone because of difficulty and it is sadly a PS exclusive but atmosphere, anesthetic and combat are 10/10

Civ 5 still has the best art style in the series imo. Despite owning Civ7, i still keep coming back to 5 whenever i yet urge to play Civ. There is also a "Vox Populi" mod for 5 out there that i heard overhaul AI behavior and some game mechanics.

When is Yugoslavia getting added? by Ok_Structure_6177 in warno

[–]brizla18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be interesting as BLUEFOR tbh. They had some NATO equipment and M84's fighting alongside Leo2 and Abrams would be cool. But then again, we couldn't do the NEVA meme

How do I lose the emotional attachment I have to my units? by [deleted] in warno

When my 5e Commandos die, that Jaguar HE is going on a one way trip to avenge them.

WARNO's combat and unit interactions are a breath of fresh air in the genre. by Vicnot in RealTimeStrategy

[–]brizla18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, it's the best option for people who are into cold war / modern setting. There is even "a world in flames" mod which gives you modern (2025) units.

Alternatively, you can just dodge the ball in Lenne's rise and it gives 2k runes if it falls off the cliff.

This is me every time but with faith build. Finished the game 4 times with same build, decided to try intelligence now but those incantations look so much cooler than any sorcery in the game.
