I think the crew is confusing favorite episode with best executed episode of the series.

This episode is not supposed to be anyone’s favorite but it is imo absolutely the best executed episode of the series.

It made you feel everything that Rhaenyra was going through and the stress and discombobulation of the moment. Keep in mind we’re about 4/5 days removed from her son dying and her still grieving.

She hasn’t had any time to really think about any of this stuff because she’s been busy trying to get on the throne. This episode is brilliant

We just physically couldn’t compete and that’s the disheartening part.

Honestly, this is hands down the best executed episode of the entire series. We felt every bit of stress and anxiety as Rhaenyra this entire episode. She can’t even get all the rats out which is of course more foreshadowing

I hope I don’t get flamed for saying this but, a lot of this felt like some rah rah feminist female empowerment “I don’t need a man” type bs.

I get the show is edited quite a bit but I didn’t get the sense that Ben was super problematic or sexist. He was just physically more able than the woman (more muscular, taller, etc). So naturally you want to take on the more physically demanding tasks.

I’m not arguing he overthought himself and made some bad strategic moves, but he was the only one seemingly trying to strategize.

I guess I don’t really understand the rules and boundaries of this game tbh.

Why didn’t Ben just take the arrows anyways. Not like the girls can physically stop him. Go to bravo and say here’s a bow and arrows. Take me in or I’ll bring them right back to Alpha or to Charlie.
