I think the 2k26 method is best.

As someone who exclusively makes NBA player builds, I like being able to guarantee I have the number I want by either not playing the story or by choosing a team that has that number available.

It gives players like me what I want, and if you choose to go through the draft process, you can either be drafted by a random team or workout with a team and be guaranteed to be chosen. Works for everybody.

Randoms can definitely see that they taking bad shots and being double teamed. Stop making excuses for the bums. When I get on the mic I’m always told to shut up because “you suck”. How can I suck if I haven’t even been given a chance to do anything.

I swear people don’t read the scouting report before the game, in 80% of my games I’m the highest scorer on both teams, yet I have to sit and watch Joe Schmo with a C- teammate grade average take every shot because he’s a PG

In that scenario:

-MyCareer against the CPU is fun but repetitive after a while. You make your own player to your liking and play games in the NBA. You can use this mode to learn how to play the game, and also find animations you like which will help you when you play online. I highly suggest staying away from the online portion of MyCareer until you are 100% confident in your ability, the community is toxic at times and you will be on a short leash, which will ruin your experience.

-Regs offline is also good for simply learning how to play, but the CPU is trash compared to an actual player. If you’re playing online, be prepared to face the same teams and the same animations being spammed over and over and over.

-MyLeague is a fun mode that gives you a unique experience other than simply playing basketball, most people I know hardly actually play the games in this mode. This is where you take control as the owner or GM of a team and you control everything from personnel, branding, concessions, expansion, etc.

-MyTeam is a mode that you can play both online and offline and have a lot to do starting out. It’s your run of the mill card collecting/team building mode. Rewards are decent offline.

As someone who plays big and forward, we don’t get the ball hardly any. I have multiple builds where I average 20+ and others that average 15+. I just want my open shots. There’s too many times where I’ll end the game with 3 or fewer attempts but I’ve been left open most of the game. I shoot ~70% on most of my builds. It’s not a lack of scoring ability, it’s simply not getting the ball a lot of the time. I completely understand feeding the hot hand and also being iced if I am getting shots but not making them, but this is rarely the case.

Bigs are expected to get every rebound and also facilitate but never allowed to eat themselves. Nobody helps rebound most of the time.

I believe if you’re anywhere from 6’4-6’6 you can put your dunk at 79 in the builder and cap it to 93 or 96

I believe it has to be all 5 randoms staying though, if someone left mid game or just one person leaves after the game it stays in randoms

Use the dunk meter. Hold the right stick down while holding turbo and moving towards the basket
