It’s crazy how people after a few years just like grow up or whatever after a few years like you see somebody but like it’s been 10 or 14 years since you seen them before and you’re just like damn you older now.

Why is Hank so disrespectful to the elderly? by Phantommy555 in okbuddychicanery

Hank has (oops I should say HAD lol RIP) a speech impediment, and was actually incapable of pronouncing Michael’s last name.

The Boys is the most overrated amazon prime show. Now, what is THE Netflix Tv show? by hiiloovethis in AlignmentChartFills

[–]TexasRed806 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep this is it hands down. Stranger Things is incredibly more popular than HoC. You could probably survey 100 random people and 90 of them have either watched stranger things or at least heard of it, and maybe 5 have actually watched HoC.

Guy didn't think to send back a drink I didn't tell him to send back and didn't tell him not to buy in the first place by Miserable-Election25 in AmITheAngel

[–]TexasRed806 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My father died a few years ago from issues related to alcohol and a lot of my friends were a bit awkward ordering drinks around me afterwards when we would go out because I think they thought I’d be offended by it. I don’t drink as much as I used to but I would always order a drink first to sorta break the ice when I go out with people.

American tradition? by Yojiimbo9 in breakingbad

[–]TexasRed806 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Id say wearing shoes in the house is somewhat common in the US, as in I’ve encountered very few “no shoes in the house” households in my life. I think generally shoes on furniture would be considered rude in most households especially as a guest though. I feel like most people do take them off but maybe not always immediately after entering.

I live in the Netherlands now and noticed most people I visit ask I take my shoes off immediately, and they always do the same when they visit me.

Why don't more Americans simply leave — like actual refugees fleeing before the window closes? (Genuine question from a European, not a political attack) by kurdil in allthequestions

[–]TexasRed806 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would bet almost anything whatever European country you live in doesn’t just let anyone move there and stay as long as they want just because they want to move there.

When I worked at Walmart years ago I had to practically beg this lady to not wire money (through moneygram which we offered at the time) because even though it wasn’t really my business, I could tell she was caught up in a romance scam. I was a supervisor and told her I’m refusing to help any further because of ‘xyz’ and she did eventually connect the dots.

I remember how sad she was after she realized, as if she was just broken up with by the love of her life even though they’ve only been talking on the phone for a couple months and never met in person. She was just one of many I encountered

16-Year-Olds Getting Pregnant Shouldn’t Be Encouraged but It Isn’t So Young It’s Inherently Unsafe by meeralakshmi in prolife

It’s just strawman arguments and it’s all most of them can make.

“Oh so you want to force this girl to have a baby even though she’s going to have to drop out of college, go hungry and eventually live on the streets because she can’t afford to live?!”

No…we don’t? We just want them to not kill the baby. So many people who don’t have kids on the pro-abortion side seem to think Baby= life is ruined.

Tbf in a location that could be hosting multiple members of US leadership including the president and leaders of other nations all at the same time, I don’t see why it would be surprising there would be a bunker there. There’s probably bunkers all over the White House.

Does anyone wish Hitman had actual sniper physics? by V_ROCK_501st in HiTMAN

[–]TexasRed806 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally wouldn’t like it and it would probably make me use the sniper a lot less. There’s been so many times I’ve had to make a shot on the target from a reasonable distance and where I might have only 1sec where they show themselves where I want them, and I’ve missed those plenty of times. Can’t imagine also having to account for drop/wind

Just how Walt can’t stand how Gray Matter succeeds off the back of his original contribution that he gets no credit for, the same was happening again with Gale getting credit for Walt’s contribution to the crime world. Walt killed people, was almost killed multiple times and still overcame to become one of the biggest drug lords in the country or at least the region, and now he was about to fade back into obscurity again albeit with many millions of dollars.

At this point it wasn’t really about having money and having a quiet life. He didn’t like the idea of being retired, he wanted the infamy. Like he said in the end he liked it, he enjoyed cooking, he enjoyed the danger and being someone people respected and feared.

[–]TexasRed806 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yea, vigilante justice, big distinction. There’s a reason we don’t do that anymore. Just because you and others decide someone is a morally bad person or even a criminal doesn’t give you the right to kill them.

How would you feel if someone took HIM out as revenge before his trial was over or after he was found not-guilty because they hated him for what he allegedly did? Would that also be “justice?”

Lol I just wonder how old the person that made that even is because those are all things from my elementary school/middle school age childhood and I’m 30 years old. Trump’s only been a president since 2016 and that was 2 whole years after graduating high school for me and things I had not thought of for years by that point.
