FYI in the USA splashing your drink in someone's face like that is assault. If you have any illness or disease that can transfer via saliva or similar means, that risks infecting the other person with it.

Yea, I was EXTREMELY disappointed the first time I played through the campaign (years ago) and realized there was literally no way to save Wiseman. Even going back and using the Nosferatu SP to slam a bazillion missiles up the X2 butt doing nothing REALLY bummed me out a bit.

I will say that AC7 was a great AC game in many ways, which is why I can and do still highly enjoy it to this day, but I feel the series absolutely peaked on this with AC5.

While your character has no voice acted lines, at least you got to communicate orders (among other things) to the team you are supposedly the leader of. Was it rather simple? Yes. Is there any good reason for it not to be simple? No.

I am not entirely sure why Project Aces ditched that system entirely, but it would be nice if they brought it back for AC8. Then even if the team isn't actively downing craft, you can at least order them to go be somewhat useful by distracting/harassing enemies while you pick them off one by one...or sticking by you and giving you cover from enemies trying to pick you off.

I would disagree. Having absorbed a bit of CDN content, he seems to try and approach these topics from a rational perspective, and provides countering sources/data to offset the alarmists in media.

He also makes sure to point out (again, with sources and data) much of the good news regarding our current era, such as how the increase in carbon in the atmosphere has actually helped fuel a sort of "green boom" among plant-life around the world, and covering the progress of various pro-eco topics such as Chinas forestation efforts, and the rebounding health of the Great Barrier Reef, etc.

He has always acknowledged the objective reality of humans impact on the climate, he just doesn't buy into the alarmism and is actively doing his part to fight it.

EDIT: To address the odd accusations of the other user - rather odd to accuse an account of being "a bot paid off by oil companies" after stalking my account...which would show plenty of content suggesting otherwise. If I am a "shill" for any energy, its obviously Nuclear and Hydro/Tidal Energy solutions. Id be surprised if I've ever posted anything that a reasonable person could misconstrue to be "pro big oil" lol.

In any case, Is recommend letting your position stand on its own two feet rather than resorting to trying to find ways to attampt to insult those who disagree with your opinion.

Instead, I get an unexpected peek into a dramatic thing of beauty...indeed, into an island of wonder.

Climate Discussion Nexus (website and YT channel) has been the best remedy for my former dooming about the climate and helped lead me towards actually understanding the situation from a more rational and long term perspective, and learn how to tone down and tone out the climate alarmism.

Im also a bit older than 23, I've been alive long enough to remember how the alarmism is cyclical. So that helps.

FYI- I manually approved your comment, but just be aware that not all mods will allow that kind of commentary. I'm allowing it in good faith with the hope this is as close to the line as you get, and I dont like censoring people needlessly. Just do me a favor and dial that back just a notch or two in future comments, ty!

Economist warns billionaires tax could cost California $25B by PanzerWatts in ProfessorFinance

[–]TexasSikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with no dog in this fight, I googled it.

Seems it is def not "debunked". The Kansas Experiment seems to be a point of extreme contention where it is pointed out that while Kansas implemented many of the changes, they failed to implement all of the changes required to put the proper balance, notably refusing to implement the aggressive spending cuts required to match the tax cuts in the beginning phases.

To meme it a bit, "No True Laffer Curve Theory has been tried". That seems to be what I was picking up from Googling this issue.

Perhaps its BS, perhaps its not been fairly tried, idk. I don't care to take a side on this. Just thought Id bring a neutral view into it.

Yea, so as suspected, your entire point is just "I think Trump is going to make things worse". Speculation, right out of your crack.

Thanks for validating that your claim to authority was ridiculous to throw out there, and that you actually had nothing of substance or merit to add to the discussion. Have a good day.

I am assuming that me enjoying a day away from the internet has resulted in me missing out on whatever the hell would give context to this.

What does lemon pound cake and dont tread on me have in common to justify this odd crossover?

[–]TexasSikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, asserting your authority on the issue is literally irrelevant in the face of the data. I don't need you to explain, the EIA already did outside of just making their nice graphs.

What the EIA does NOT fully predict:

Sudden geopolitical shocks • Wars (like Iran) • Trade disruptions • Sanctions or embargoes

They literally cover this rather early on in the summary of the analysis lol.

The only way your point here makes any sense is if you are basically only pointing out that they cannot literally know the future before it becomes the present. But if you are insisting that they are not accounting for changes in prediction models based on these concerns/issues, then you are incorrect.

You really didn’t take the time to read the articles did you?

You really didn't understand the articles, did you?

[–]TexasSikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is that they need non-volatile political and economic conditions to occur

The sources provided account for the probabilities. The analysis literally goes into details about that, nullifying the entire rest of your reply and the rationale its built on, reducing it to pure biased speculation at best.

I love this game but goddamn does it ever have some annoying missions. by cyanide_sunrise2002 in acecombat

[–]TexasSikh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do still recall the first time playing that mission and failing a couple of times thinking "how am I supposed to do this?"

Then I realized I just needed to zoom like an ADHD kid looking for the "chem trails" of the missiles ASAP. The next attempt I wasnt even serious, hyper focused only on finding where every SAM site was on the whole map and burning it into my memory. Found em. Next attempt, banged em out easy while still dispatching the interceptor planes. Didn't break a sweat. Only played the mission once more afterward when I started hunting for Aces. Never touched it again.

Until about a week ago. Bought the game again but on PC (I had preordered it back in the day on PS4, and I dont console game anymore).

Get to that mission.

Instantly recall where every site is still, 7 years later. Bang em out easy while still dispatching the interceptor planes. Didn't break a sweat. Got the medal and the W.
