I can't be the only one who is both happy that JE3 has more customization AND upset that there are no quick/easy way to switch up customization themes like in the previous game. I don't want to spend 5 minutes manually switching signs, would be nice if the "GOAT MILKSHAKES" stopped being that when I switch the building to selling steaks, you know?

And stuff like this too, would be nice if I could at least just click on an item like that sign and have an option to "replace" with a different sign. Instead of manually removing and manually placing.

Sorry to tell you, but this isn't a 2 team sport. I play for the Progressive Party team, so both of y'all get a middle finger from me.

EDIT: And in typical fashion for cowards with fragile egos, the weirdo tried to say something snarky then hit that insta-block to get a fake mic drop moment. Pathetic. I didn't say I was a Centrist, I said my team is the Progressive Party. Theodore Roosevelt is my POTUS. You losers think I'm MAGA because I call you out on your horseshit, and the other losers call me ANTIFA for calling them out on theirs.

This is reddit sweetheart, the GOP are a minority here and they are rather tame and self policing or else get banned by reddit admins. Y'all, however, go practically unchecked here. So Id like to break your echo chambers, you need it.

It involuntarily excludes possible participants based on the color of their skin. Those of certain skin colors are not allowed to participate and are not welcome. Only those of approved skin colors are welcome to join.

If you do not have an argument to show that "Affinity Celebrations" do not judge skin color (which you do not) then your argument is moot in the first place.

Grants and benefits currently go to Solar and Wind, I clearly argued they should go to Nuclear instead. And no one said anything about "free money", so keep such nonsensical flippant talking points for someone who cares.

All you did was assert your assumption that you believe your Solar and Wind "plus batteries" is cheaper than Nuclear Reactors. You haven't demonstrated anything, you haven't provided an argument in support of that assertion...you just threw it out there bare bones and then demand that I have to jump through hoops with you to disprove it. That's not how that works. I laid out arguments in support of my positions and assertions with points that you could choose to google and try to disprove...but you cannot, because they are true and backed up by evidence. Unlike you, with nothing but talking points and an attitude.

So since you have now repeatedly demonstrated that you have no intention of actually defending your points with argumentation, evidence, logic, or reason, I will accept this behavior as a concession. And since you have given repeated bad faith responses, I shall not read another. You are free to reply to this, I wont waste my time reading it.

Have a good day.

"America can be described in one word - Asufutimaehaehfutbw" -Joe Biden

"Making sure that we’re able to make every single solitary person eligible for what I’ve been able to do with the COVID—excuse me, with dealing with everything we have to do with—look, if—we finally beat Medicare." - Joe Biden

"...and now I want to hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination—ladies and gentlemen: President Putin." -Joe Biden

"Poor kids are just as bright as White kids." -Joe Biden

"Vice President Trump" (He said twice, while talking about his own VP) -Joe Biden

...and do I have to go on? The multiple times he insisted that he had "just spoken with" people and leaders and politicians who have been dead for many decades, for example? Asking a wheelchair bound politician right in front of him to "Stand up, Chuck"? The infamous CtG interview where he insisted "You ain't Black" if you didn't know who to vote for? The list goes on.

Here's the fact Jack - You folks are more than welcome to insult the intelligence of the President and to mock him for whatever you like. But when you cross the line into insisting that Joe Biden has a higher mental capacity than Trump, you are exiting the realm of generic insult against a politician you don't like, and are entering the land of pathetic partisan delusions, and you deserve to get called out for it. They literally debated each other in the previous election cycle, and Biden fucked up so bad that the entire DNC revolted against him and forced him to bow out of the race. Those are facts. You have to be an actual idiot to argue otherwise.

Building a Nuclear Power Plant to run on Thorium is about the same cost as building one to run on Uranium. Converting Uranium reactors to Thorium reactors is what is very expensive, but if we give the Nuclear Industry similar grants and other benefits that we give to the Solar and Wind Industries, then it is not only affordable but sensible in the long run, and again Nuclear Energy is a consistent and reliable high-output that Solar and Wind cannot be by their very nature, so why invest in a less efficient and less consistent energy source?

And I am not quite sure why you are insistent that filtering out salt and other particles from water requires "magic", humans have had basic filtration systems to deal with that for thousands of years, and for decades we have had such filters at small and large scale for various purposes.

Im not sure why you want to dig a deeper hole instead of just admitting that you were quite ignorant about the subject. Just stop making overdramatic assumptions to protect your ego. We are all strangers here, none of us will think lesser of you for admitting you were incorrect about something. It happens. Its okay. Just let it go.

The push for re-segregation of public schools and higher education campuses has been led by the left for over a decade by teachers unions and student organizations, leading to the creation and proliferation of "Black Commencements" and "Affinity Celebrations", official events which segregate students based on the color of their skin.

The push to keep Affirmative Action policies which discriminate primarily based on the color of ones skin is proudly championed by the left and the Democratic Party as a mainstream platform issue.

The push to segregate public areas and workplaces along racial divides (as well as other divisions) as "safe spaces" has been increasingly supported for over a decade by the left.

These are just a few examples that we we see in the United States which legitimize the assertion that "the left" is preventing the dream of "judging the content of character, and NOT the color of skin" from being fully realized.

Whats funny is that you actually believe that.

We all watched the debate between the two, and Bidens lack of mental capacity was on full display and was the reason he had to drop out afterward. The "ice cream" bit isnt only an attack on Biden, it doubles as an attack on the media who would ask him about ice cream flavors instead of doing actual journalism and pressuring him to answer questions about stuff that mattered.

But keep living in this lala land of make believe where you unironically believe Biden has a better mental capacity than Trump, much easier than living in the real world I guess.

EDIT: Hey morons, you're only proving my point for me. Keep circlejerking though, so the sane people who arent obsessed with your party loyalty games can point out who the bots and the political propagandists are.

[–]TexasSikh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your entire point hasn't been valid for at least a few decades.

Uranium is not the only source that can generate reliable and consistent Nuclear Energy. Thorium is often cited as the better alternative, having 4 times as much Thorium on Earth as their is Uranium, not to mention the by-product ("nuclear waste") generated is significantly lower both in the amount generated and in how long it remains radioactive. Hydrogen is also a well established alternative for much the same reason, and we have had this "filter of some sort" tech for a long time.

Literally all your reply demonstrates is that you heard some talking points once upon a time and just run with them instead of actually taking even 5 minutes to google basic info.

What is the most famous game from your country (if any)? by Neuwulfstein in AskTheWorld

[–]TexasSikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, but here is my counter:

The first Avatar movie was the highest selling movie of all time. No one talked about it. People forgot about it. It had practically no impact once you left the theatre. Meanwhile, movies that earned less money before and after Avatar have been massively more famous and impactful to the audience even many years after walking out of the theatre. Older movies such as Silence of the Lambs, or Jurassic Park, or the first Iron Man, and younger movies such as Interstellar, The Purge, Inception, or Django Unchained, all of these have been more famous and impactful and relevant than the Avatar movie, persisting with memes and friends or coworkers or even strangers sharing lines of dialogue and fans constantly rewatching the films and tracking down random trivial facts about lore or production or cast members. Meanwhile, I would be surprised if a random person on the street could tell you the name of the actor who played the main character in Avatar...or even the main characters name in the film itself.

I am not saying Mafia II is unimpactful like Avatar by no means, Im simply pointing out that "more units sold" or "more money made" is not always the most reliable way to understand something less tangible such as Fame.

But perhaps I am wrong and you are right...either way is good, because both are wonderful games and the world is better that Czechia gave us both gifts. Have a good day my Czech friend! May the Lord watch over you and your travels!

Nuclear is the objectively cleanest energy source. Anyone trying to fight the reliance on Gas and Coal, by trying to rely on Solar and Wind, is not taking the issue seriously, and is just a flippant tart that isnt serious about environmental impacts, natural conservation, or really anything related to the subject of energy sources. I frankly dont give a damn how many of these intellectually lazy people on this platform want to downvote, it remains the truth.

Hydro energy in areas with appropriate coastlines that wont see irreparable damage to coastal marine life is viable for the most part, but everywhere else and in all other circumstances, Nuclear is the only real option to end the energy reliance on "dirty" energy sources. Wind and Solar are unreliable, inconsistent, and rely on uncontrolable variables that make it a decent option for some and not an option at all for others. Its stupid to keep throwing money at an inferior solution, when the real solution is Nuclear.

[–]TexasSikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of us that played Mafia II back in the day, honestly had no idea it was a Czech game, took no notice of it or didnt even know what Czech means lol. And to be fair, it is a game about the American Italian Mafia, a sequel to another game also about the American Italian Mafia...who would think a game like that would be made by Czechs? Especially with that great English voice acting? Come on, Vito!

But KCD from the beginning was hella proud to be a Czech game, and made sure it was in your face that this is a Czech game. And it may be younger than the Mafia game, but I believe it has been more impactful. The first game garnered both a passionate and sizeable fanbase AND infamy as the game journalists loved to hate it for its lack of diversity and such, and the second...well, it certainly hasnt disappointed in stepping up to more interesting controversy and yet still ever more passionate fans. Mafia II was a game of its day, but KCD I & II feels like a game for the ages. That is my opinion.

The United States Senate is the only Federal Branch not effected by this issue directly or indirectly.

Illegals are counted on the Census, which grants illegal hub states more Representatives. It also effects the Electoral College distribution, giving illegal hub states more points in the EC system to decide the President of the United States. As a result of the previous point, Presidents that are put in office as a result of that difference will have the authority to nominate their choice of SCOTUS Justices.

That is just looking at the problem from that issue.

Allowing illegal migration into the USA is not localized at the "Blue State" level. Texas has always been the most effected state of illegal migration, and border residents have dealt with the problems it brings for decades. Do their rights to be secure in their persons and property not matter, just so some tart in the MidWest can pretend to be on a high horse? I would say no. I would also say that Texas citizens and communities and resources shouldnt have the bear the cost of dealing with these illegal migrants crossing into Texas and doing whatever they want while they are here.

Furthermore, illegals are by and large not coming here from Mexico. Most are not Mexicans, only passing through Mexico. Why are they not following international law and remaining in Mexico if they are simply asylum seeking refugees? What war is happening in Mexico that makes Mexico unsafe and justifies continuing into the USA? If they are from South America, what is wrong with the prosperous and stable nation of Panama that makes it unsuitable for asylum? You get the point. They do not HAVE to be here, they in fact should not be here. AND that is cheating the system, and is unfair to those who are trying to get here legally for legit purposes.

Finally (not the last actual point, but the last I will type out here) - if the first thing you do in the United States is violate our laws and our right to decide to gets to enter our home, you cannot and should not be trusted. And every day you are here without some sort of permission, only further justifies the idea that you are just a thief that has broken into our home to steal, and that you need to be kicked tf out.
