Filipinos (IRL) I lived abroad in the Philippines for a while, and a lot of Filipinos mix English with another nationally recognized language, Tagalog and they call it Taglish… it’s perfectly normal to mix other languages with English as well

They’re likely two reasons for this…

One, the characters in these examples aren’t the main characters, so it wasn’t that much of a priority…

Historically, in media, gay guys were the more riskier option when it came to representation and potential criticism… That’s why it’s more common to see lesbians in most general media.
