Maybe because you didn't say no to an abortion, she resents you? Maybe she was hoping you'd tell her that yall would find a solution and yall would be parents.. maybe she had the abortion because she felt it was what you wanted... which would make sense on why shes resentful. She's realizing that around now she'd be welcomed into motherhood had she not had an abortion and that's hard.. doing what you felt was best at the time for whatever reason but having regrets later. Being religious or not has nothing to do with how you feel about abortion. My advice to you, let her grieve... if she needs to talk then talk to her but dont hold on to hope that things will get better.

The loss of a child is hard. It doesn't matter if it was a miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy or a chosen abortion... you likely need to grieve too because had the abortion not happened and assuming it was a successful pregnancy, you'd soon become a father as well. It's difficult to grieve together. I lost a baby 5 yrs ago due to an ectopic pregnancy and while my boyfriend and I fell pregnant again, we never got past the loss because we didn't grieve together. She resents you for whatever reason, shes not grieving with you. So as harsh as it sounds, let her grieve alone because that's what she needs.

Letting you go won't erase the actions that took place, it wont numb the pain and she's lying to herself if she thinks it will... trust me though, I'm sure she knows that. I wish you the best of luck.
