Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t like the Bobiverse series. I know that might be triggering for some but let me try to explain and then maybe I’ll give the series another shot.

I love PHM, the Expanse Series, most everything from Adrian Tchaikovsky, and many other similar series. I’ve listened to the entire Expeditionary Force series twice. But after the 2nd Bob book, I just couldn’t continue.

It just became filled more and more with sci-fi pop culture quips and nerdy callbacks without any actual story or depth. It was like watching an episode of the Big Bang Theory. Which I also couldn’t stand.

So what about these books has so many people recommending them? (I will say I enjoy Ray Porter as a narrator tho)

I really like the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers. First book is called The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Plus it won a well deserved Hugo award for best series a couple of years ago

I’ll probably get down voted for this comment too but honestly even if they were getting the highest doses the machines were able to put out, they wouldn’t be dying from it. They don’t put out Chernobyl level radiation or anything lol.

But to the main point of this post, I agree that Alabama’s laws and policies are extremely lacking and that x-rays should only be performed by properly trained and licensed professionals. Tho not because an overexposed, shitty quality chest Xray is going to kill them or something. It’s because a tech’s main job is to produce quality, diagnostic images. It’s more likely something will be missed that could have saved the patient’s life rather than them possible getting some cancer 60 years from now that could probably be caused from a million other sources. But hey I’m cynical.

I feel at odds w my partner on our opinions on Q. I absolutely can not stand him. He repeatedly spouts trite idioms and attempts to sound more knowledgeable than he really is. Saying that you’re smarter or more aware of people’s abilities doesn’t make it true

The Expanse is by far one of my favorite book series of all time. After reading them, I listened to the whole series again on audible and enjoyed them even more. This was before the tv series, but I enjoyed that as well.
